Well if you're poor and barely can afford the hardware, how do you plan on enjoying that hard earned console? You need an HDTV for starters, don't even consider playing ps3 on an SDTV, been there, done that...it blows. Also the games for ps3 aren't cheap either, where I live you can barely get a game under 25 EUR, and that's the really old ones. New games cost 60-70 EUR here, it's a good chunk outa everyone's wallet tbh...y ou all dont understand im poor its hard for me to get 10 15 maybe 20 dollars

You do realise you could turn that off right?the only real control issue that bothered the hell out of me was having to tap the L button (i think that's right) to aim.
I'm too used to having to hold it down to aim. having to tap it kept making remember that i had to tap a button to stop aiming.
so i was constantly aware of the controller in my hand rather then paying attention to what was going on the screen..
don't mind the weighty feel, it was just how the buttons worked that was driving me nuts.

Nope haven't tried the Multiplayer yet... And yes I think you should hold off from buying until reviews start pouring in...I am glad I didnt preorder this one so far, but I would still like to play it. Since it is early, I am sure no one is on the Multiplayer yet, but have you checked that out at all? It seemed like it could be pretty fun.

Yea they're very much alike Bioshock and Singularity, the minute I got in the first building I was like: Deja Vu!? Introduction video in cheerful/cartoonish style and many others lying around, even audio messages you can listen to... the atmosphere is nearly identical, you explore a once great city where corridors are crashing down behind you, everything is destroyed. But so far Singularity pales in comparison because: 1) they'd better call the game Linearity, 2) level design is uninspired, pale and bland, none of the beautiful deco-art/colourful surroundings that made Bioshock so effing awesome. You can upgrade your weapons, but again, unfortunately no visual difference... Haven't gotten a taste of the special powers yet. I'll be sure to update the thread now and then with some new impressions, maybe I'll hit myself on the head for being so hard on it later on =PI want to play this game. It is at the top of my gamefly q along with Transformers: WFC. Both of these games look awesome, but I couldnt justify a purchase. It doesnt sound like you are too impressed so far though.
I have heard many references to Bioshock when talking about Singularity, so how would you compare them. Bioshock is probably my favorite game this gen BTW. Awesome that you got the game early though. That hasnt happened to me since I got Soul Calibur 2 for gamecube a few days early at Walmart back in what 03 I think?

WARNING MINOR PLOT SPOILERS!
So I went to the local game store today and I was surprised I saw Singularity lying there on the shelf...
I was like huh? Did sleep an entire week!? But then I checked the date, and waddaya know... it's the 24th! What's even more shocking, I live in Europe and it wasn't supposed to release here until the 2th july...
It was an insta-buy, and also the first game I bought without checking a review, so I can start playing un-biased, un-spoiled... and unfortunately...un-impressed...
Game starts off with the typical "experiment gone horribly wrong, people turned into mutants, blablabla"
Surprsingly the game reminds me A LOT of Bioshock: you land on an island that used to be a "utopia", it's even situated in the same time-period: post-world war on an island owned by the sovjet union. The downfall of the island, which actually was home to experiments of the newly discovered element E-99...
Nothing impressive about the story...
On to gameplay: haven't gotten too far, only 2-3 hours in... But I'm not really impressed so far...
Graphics are not that impressive, lot of screen tearing and pop-ups, game slowing down when there are a lot of enemies.
AWFUL checkpoints!! If you die, you usually have to go do a good chunk of the level again, because the checkpoints are placed so dreadfully...and there's no save option.
Enemies usually attack you head on, and take a healthy bite outta your health, but when using a med pack the animation is so annoyingly long that each time you use one you're practically a sitting duck and end up being in more trouble than before.
Even the shooting doesn't feel slick, even a bit clunky, you would expect more from the makers of Soldier of Fortune...
I expected the game to be more polished after delaying it so much...
But then again, I didn't even get to use the Time bending powers yet, so maybe I'll end up loving it in the end.
Nontheless my verdict up until now: 6.5/10
Does anyone else see how the new zelda looked like a n64 game on the E3 showing, or how crappy the controls were?? 1:1 movement my a$$, it's just pre-set moves like tp, but only more different animations...
And a whip!? Really?? What, Link is suddenly into SM now?? I can see how Miyamoto likes to put his real life hobbies in games...
Oh and to answer the on-topic question: I like Adult Link best, cause you know... he looks like a human being...

[QUOTE="JordanElek"]So it looks like it'll work like Navi in OoT JordanElek
Ya, you're really not helping things here.
:P
Ha, I was going for a knock on Navi, actually. And making the connection that Zelda games have told us how to solve puzzles since OoT, so this is just a newer, much better way to do the same thing. At least the hint part of it. Without the oh so annoying "hey!!" every 10 seconds :PYea little kids just refuse to think something through a little... for them this is ideal... but for us, the thinking individual (most of us :P) it is of no much use... P.S.: Here you go clickety, now post away!!I have completed every game i've bought andenjoyed replaing levels dozens of times just to get 100% scores on them (nostalgy moment: Donkey Kong Country :) ). So, yes, i wouldnt like this system for me BUT not everyone plays like this!
I just have to look at my brothers and i see the use of this, they get bored fast, ask me to show them how to complete a part, etc... That's how they have fun, seing new content of the game, not repeating the same hard part over and over again. This system is good and will clearly help the Wii's casual audience.
