If you think you might recall the name of the game by seeing it Try http://www.homeoftheunderdogs.net/genre.php?id=10 or Wikipedia's MAC games list

1. Dayz

This game is hilarious, shocking, scary & complete madness all in one. In what other game out there can you beat someone to death with a hoe whilst wearing nothing but ur pants & a dora the explorer back-pack? Oh and blood-bag roulette is the best game ever for captives.

2. Insurgency

Hardcore one-shot kill game. No power up/airstrike bullshit. Good for team play.

3. Running with Rifles

EPIC co-op V AI warfare madness. Do yourself a favour & play this NOW.

PC

1 - More choice in games & software that are cheaper overall (Steam sales also). Racing games: Grid 1 & 2, F1,Dirt etc etc

2 - Want to play Gran Turismo on ur PC? buy the game for ps3 use a PS3 emulator

3 - PS4 gaming catalogue atm is not great, with nothing really worth getting the machine for, better choice on PC

Saying PC gets no GOTY awards is nonsense and a clearly a narrow minded, un-researched argument

Take the Golden Joystick awards as an example:

(The Golden Joysticks are the second oldest gaming awards (after the Arcade Awards)

2013 GTA V (coming to PC)

2012 Skyrim - PC

2011 Portal - PC

2010 Mass effect 2 - PC

2009 Fallout 3 - PC

IGN: 5 of the last 10 GOTY are on PC

Gamespot - 4 of the last 10 GOTY are available on PC

@FACT: PC owners are elite.

This should help clear things up........

We can afford a PC that clearly out performs your broken boxes that never work properly on release

We laugh at console owners crying cos its not 1080p

We don't get limited at 60fps

We buy/build a PC & actually have games available to play at that point that are actually quite good & don't have to wait over 12 months for a game worth playing

We can build a PC that performs at least as good as a current gen console for about the same price (a number of sites have done this), yet we don't, we pay a little bit more to build better, that lasts longer.

We don't have to pay £60 for a game - that usually turns out to be 4 hours long and/or utter shite

Our PC's can do all the tricks your little plastic boxes do & more (& yes that includes Kinect type hardware - no? google it)

We don't have to pay extra on-top of our broadband deal to play our games online (SUBSCRIPTION GAMES NOT INCLUDED)

Our PC's can run our back catalogue of games

Got a last gen console i.e 360 or ps3? We can emulate that and play your games if we wanted, (no? google it) - can you play your last gen games on your new console?

We can upgrade/alter/change/repair our machines at our leisure without breaking shitty little warranties that don't actually cover any of the faults, cause legal issues or other infringements.

We don't get storage capacity issues

We don't care about exclusives as that exclusive is the same game as the last exclusive, is more often that not generic boredom inducing meh-ness and always loaded with unwarranted adolescent hype. Plus we have something similar ALREADY zzzzz. Consoles get exclusives as you'll happily pay £60 for the crap 'AAA' minimal content game cos itz lookz goodz innit

We don't need assisted aim to shoot people with mouse & keyboard

We can mod our games

oh and

We have access to the Steam sale

#I'd disagree about a lack of immersion, if you pick the right game its still there; Skyrim or Mario Galaxy (1 & 2) for example. I also think that immersion will have a decent opportunity with new tech like the Oculus Rift, plus new titles (assuming they deliver) such as Dayz & Star Citizen. I own a PS3, 360, PC & a Wii & have been gaming since the days of 8-bit machines; by far the best games I own from an immersive point are on the PC, over the years I've found that the PC has provided me with the best choice for games I enjoy, especially now with the type of games available via Steam; there are some great games on the consoles though - Mario Galaxy & God of War for example. That said I'm not going to bother with next gen's such as Xbone or ps4 as I 've found the PC games library & quality of content to be vastly superior to consoles for games I enjoy over the years.

I do see what you are saying about generic games & a loss of the wow factor, part of the problem is that the gaming industry is what 35 years old? & you're going to get more than a fair bit of recycling & bandwagon jumping in that until technology moves further forward. Take COD & the FPS style franchise for example, what can you honestly do to that product that would make it original, fresh, immersive & still keep people playing & make the publisher money? oh and HASNT been done EVER before in any way - on current hardware.

Recent or New games that offer a decent story & good game content you may want to consider

The Walking Dead & Wolf Among us

Skyrim

Dayz ( I'm saying this as the story is what YOU make it)

Mass Effect Series
