Wondering if anyone can help me with this. Whenever I go to install a minecraft mod (even following tutorials for the version i'm using) it doesn't work and ends up breaking the game. I'm using 1.1

well unlike consoles people who are buying a computer aren't necessarily buying it for gaming so that would put a dent in desktop sales, also you can get quite powerful laptops now for gaming. I would think though that anyone who wants to max out games and be future proof for a few years will end up building/buying a desktop.

true you could probably get away with not having an anti-virus program installed. In saying that these things don't exactly take up massive amounts of space and they just run in the background without bothering you so what's the harm in having it installed.

My personal favorite RTS games:

Command & Conquer: the First Decade - all of the best C&C games in one cheap bundle. I think it's like $11 on Amazon.

Company of Heroes - Superb game with more emphasis on strategy and tactics than base building.

Sins of a Solar Empire - Simply amazing. Different than any other RTS I have every played by a long shot. Once you start playing it is almost impossible to stop.

Sins is a great game I got it not too long ago and I find it really hard, but it is really deep and I was shocked when I saw that I had sunk 10 hours in after just a few days of playing in small chunks.
