Okami First Impressions

Ok well today i got up at 5:30 so i could have a good hour with Okami, yes I canj play it no other time unless I get up that early. (Another reason for me to buy my own Wii) And well here are my first impressions.

he first thing I really like about the game and it was the first thing that hit me straigyt off the bat was the fantastic art style. If nobody has seen it it is decribed as japanese Art Syle, think of cell shaded games like The Legend of Zerlda: Wind Waker and then make it more "Historical" and your there.

TnThe story came next and it actully is quite good, i didn't expect it to be that good as the game seemed quite boring to begin with but as I progressed I met Issun who provides quite alot of humor. And then later on more characters appear even one who seems to share Captin Qwarks personality!

The voice acting however did get on my nerves, it ghas the same voice acting done of that in Banjo Kazooie, a bunch of sounds instead of words. However Banjo- - Kazooie was made 11 years ago and times have since then moved on to much better and bigger things. Plus they don't even do a good job of the noises so far and there all awfully annyoing.

Thankfully its one of the only drawbacks to the game. The gameplay reminded me not of what others have said Zelda, but of the good old Spyro games for the PS1. The movement and gameplay just reminded me so much of it, however as I got further I started to see more Zelda elements like side quests and the flow of the game.

The Brush is a really nice idea and It actully is quite fun, I love doing the slash technicqe and its alot of fun. However it can take lots of times before the game actully regonises what your trying to do, but its not that much of a complaint.

I really do enjoy this game and it makes me want to buy my own Wii even more, I look forward to progessing on it more.

My Christmas Shopping, and a little thing for me

I finnaly did my Christmas shopping, it took all day but I did it. I have some money left over, actully £25.00 :p. So I bought myself Okami for the Wii and a Nintendo Oficial Magazine. As you may know I don't have hardly any accses to the Wii so I have no yet played it, even though Its been in my possesion for 4 hours now. I should beable to play it tommrow if I get up early enough. The NOM is great, I thinjk as its only £3.99 I'll be getting it every month as its great for value. It came with a 2009 Calander with diffrent games on each page, April is my fav cos it has the cute Pikimin on it.

On the 1st of December (whenever that is) I'll be getting £25.00. I think I'm not going to spend that, I'll start my Wii savings now, so no more buys for a while.

Blame Myspace.....

You may have noticed I haven't been bloogging propperly wfor a while now, heck nmy last gtwo blogs were basically copy and paste matrial. I am very sorry but just blame Myspace, its addictive lolz. I have however been spending alot of time doing college work too, so I've been busy too. And to top it all off I haven't been buying things, its been almost a month since I bought anything due to christmas coming up, and game wise I haven't really played much. Just MGO and Oblivion, man i need to get back into gaming.

Anyway heres whats going on game wise now. Well On Sunday I'm going shopping and my dad is giving me £50.00, £25.00 to spend on more christmas presents and the rest is just for me, on top of that on Monday I get my £25.00 aswell so all in all thats £50.00. I don't know what I'ma gonna buy, I may go and just grab a bunch of games, but I really want new books too as I'm all out lolz.

My Wii plan is still going ahead so after Xmas I'm gonna start saving for my own, if you haven't already noticed my N64 Mission has faded away. I've not stopped but I defantly am not that intrested any more, so I will put all my money after Xmas into Wii games and boy theres alot. It will also mean that when I move out in a few years hopefully its one of the only consoles I can take with me. Since the PS3 is both mine and my sisters, so is the Wii we own now, the PS2, the N64 isnt even 100% mine its mine and my sisters, but she dosn't own any games so lolz. I can safely say the consoles I own 100% are my DS and my Zelda GBSP, so when I get my OWN Wii I'll beable to take it.

But whatever, I shall be getting back into blogging now, espect to hear from me sunday to hear from what i have bought!

Awfully depressing choice, keep going or start again?

Well I knew it would happen eventually, my Oblivion progession has come to a screeching halt, the worst of the worst has happend, the game is ruined.

Well there is a quest for the daedric Lord Sanquine or whatever, I have to attend a party of the Countess of Leyawin, well guess what she isn't there! It says after you done a mission involving her in the theives guild sheis no longer invincible, and now I gues she died on the way to vist her sister in chorrol, therefore leaving me unable to complete the quest. This means not only will it be impossible to complete the game, but also not able to do the last dadric quest, really annyoying!

I dont feel like going on with it now, atleast for a while, I will concentrate my gaming elsewhere me thinks, time for MGO!

Seya!

I tried to keep away from it, but the therapy didnt help...

...Friends and enemies Oblivion is back in mylife, in the addictive sense! Since i got Ob livion in Febuary I played it on every chance I got, there wasn't a single weekend that went it going unplayed. This happened all the way up untill MGS4 came out, when I beat MGS4 I kinda ignored Oblivion because after I finished it I found myself going into other games. I guess Oblivion isone of those things where if you don't play it for a while its hard to get back in. Over the next couple of months I tried to get back into it, but I couldn't. When my PS3 data got erased it made matters worse as I lost 150 hours worth of gameplay. So i ended up not playing it for months and months, well oveer the weekend i got back into the Oblivion swing of things!

Ok I started last weekend at the beggining of the Thives Guild and over the weekend I finished it completely and got to the part inn the main quest where I'm tracking down the Spies in Bruma. I literally played it Satterday morning from 6-12, true story! I was just so adicted and I'm kinda happy I'm back into it again. Lets hope this time I don't do anything drastic like play it for all day straight (Which saddly did happen once)

Anyway I'll be seeying ya!

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, a big waste of time

Well since Banjo Tooie was released back in 2000 we have been waiting for Banjo-Threeie, now there have been some other Banjo games (Basnjo Piolot and Banjo Kazooie: Gruntys revenge) but none of those were direct sequals and were only average at best. Then Rare left so hopes of seeing Banjo Threeie were very low, but then Rare Annouced Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts for the Xbox360. The first trailer showed Banjo and Kazooie back In Sprial mountin surronded by Jiggys and Musical notes, so it looked like the true sequal to Banjo Tooie.

But then as more and more trailers got released we have seen that the game is not anything like the two before as it is 80% vechicles, and nopw the game is has been reviewed and well, it was a complete waste of time and is just insulting to hardcore Banjo Kazooie fans. i posted a review of it at the bottom so feel free to watch, There review was quite fair and is really all we can go by yet as its one of the only people to review it yet, I wonder what GS will give it.

People can only wonder if Rare will finnaly release and admit that moving away from nintendo was one of the worst mistakes any gaming compamny has ever made, and hopefully they will admit it and go back and finnaly make Banjo-Theeie whcih fans have all been waiting for.

Mirrors Edge Reviews

Well to put it simply, what is said in the three reviews that I have watched is the graphics and music is great and the gameplay is innotive, but aside from that they have critised it alot. GS gave it 7.0, IGN gave it 8.3 and Plyr gave it 6/10, so quite mixed. The things that got most of them annyoyed is that that it is quite hard and frustrtaing, In all these trailers and interviews it was said that running past enemies and avoidingh them is the easier way, well it is very hard to do so but also is taking them out. The cinimatics also look like a flash movie on a C and dont match the game at all. Plus the character development is shallow and you don't get into them much. Also the game is quite short lasting 7 hours, but with a addictive time trail mode. Overall I was dissapointed that it didnt shoot higher, but this is said to be part of a long running series according to past interviews so my head is still up high :D
