Ok well today i got up at 5:30 so i could have a good hour with Okami, yes I canj play it no other time unless I get up that early. (Another reason for me to buy my own Wii) And well here are my first impressions.
he first thing I really like about the game and it was the first thing that hit me straigyt off the bat was the fantastic art style. If nobody has seen it it is decribed as japanese Art Syle, think of cell shaded games like The Legend of Zerlda: Wind Waker and then make it more "Historical" and your there.
TnThe story came next and it actully is quite good, i didn't expect it to be that good as the game seemed quite boring to begin with but as I progressed I met Issun who provides quite alot of humor. And then later on more characters appear even one who seems to share Captin Qwarks personality!
The voice acting however did get on my nerves, it ghas the same voice acting done of that in Banjo Kazooie, a bunch of sounds instead of words. However Banjo- - Kazooie was made 11 years ago and times have since then moved on to much better and bigger things. Plus they don't even do a good job of the noises so far and there all awfully annyoing.
Thankfully its one of the only drawbacks to the game. The gameplay reminded me not of what others have said Zelda, but of the good old Spyro games for the PS1. The movement and gameplay just reminded me so much of it, however as I got further I started to see more Zelda elements like side quests and the flow of the game.
The Brush is a really nice idea and It actully is quite fun, I love doing the slash technicqe and its alot of fun. However it can take lots of times before the game actully regonises what your trying to do, but its not that much of a complaint.
I really do enjoy this game and it makes me want to buy my own Wii even more, I look forward to progessing on it more.
Seya Real Soon!
