Quick Update
by Freer on Comments
Anywho, I unlocked the hard tracks and boats on Hydro Thunder and boy ARE THEY HARD....and ya that's it, till next time!
Sorry to those of you who may keep up on my gaming blog, and even the ones that occasionally bop in. It has, once again, been far too long since my last update, but I've returned with quite a bit to talk about, at least enough to make a fairly good sized entry.
I'm making this entry from the only coffeeshop in this half-assed town with internet access, and it's DSL to boot! But that's not the point, the point is, I'm typing on my BRAND NEW LAPTOP!!!! 8) My dad bought it for me a few days ago at a Staples in Wenatchee as makeup for the last few X-Mas's and B-Day's I had where he didn't really give me much because of his lack of money. Anyway, here's the specs:
-It's an Acer Aspire 3000
-Running Windows XP Pro Edition
-With a "Mobile AMD Sempron processor 3000+" pumping 1.80GHz of processing power
-It's got an 80GB harddrive
-CD/DVD R/RW drive (w00t, I can finally burn DVD's!!! :D )
-512MB of DDR memory
-128MB of graphics processing power
-And an 802.11 b/g wireless LAN card
I also got a laptop case and a wireless USB mouse with it.
It's pretty much on par with the desktop PC that my mom had at her house, except it's slightly slower at processing things, but it makes up for that by having twice as much graphics power!!
And in other gaming news, right before I got kicked out I got "Dungeon Siege" for free, one of my mom's friends works at Microsoft and was just gonna get rid of it but gave it to me instead, all I have to say is, it's an awsome game, I really like it, unfortunantly it was left at my mom's house when I left, so I have to wait until I get to Bandon so I have an address to send my computer games to. I also got another new game, "Syberia" for $10 with my laptop, it looks absolutely beautiful on my new computer, except there seems to be some sound issues which I haven't been able to resolve yet involving the dialouge voices overlapping each other during conversations, which can get REALLY annoying.
At least I had the sense to grab my XBOX and PS2 before I left, I don't know what I would do without my virtual crack, AKA: Burnout 3. Oh ya, and my dad's got cable, whoop-dee-doo right? Wrong, apparently the G4 channel is part of the standard package around here!! So ya, I've been wasting my time watching that too.
Ya so, that's about all I have to report right now, I'll try to keep the updates more regular from now on, and if you'll excuse me, I have to go buy another soda before they kick me out of here...
