The reality is that things are alot worse than we could ever have imagined for the PS3. Enough to bring a tear of sadness...or joy, to your eye, depending on which team you back ! Friz

As all of you probably know the home page of Gamespot.com has their Most Popular section and it goes like this-

Most Popular Overall

  • 4 XBox 360 Games
  • 4 PC Games
  • 2 Wii Games
  • 0 PS3 Games

Most Popular Games that are Currently Available

  • 5 XBox 360 Games
  • 2 Wii Games
  • 2 PC Games
  • 1 PS2 Game
  • 0 PS3 Games

Most Popular Games that are Coming Soon

  • 4 XBox 360 Games
  • 4 PC Games
  • 1 PS2 Game
  • 1 PS3 Games

Highest Rated Popular Games

  • 4 XBox 360 Games
  • 3 PC Games
  • 1 DS Game
  • 1 Wii Game
  • 1 PSP Game
  • 0 PS3 Games

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This just shows how disastrous the PS3 is and how horrible it is doing. Resistance Of Man is the systems best game and it is getting outshined by Fuzion Frenzy 2. The 1 AND ONLY game they have in the Coming Soon section is already a XBox 360 game-they can't even manage to get Metal Gear or Final Fantasy in there. I kinda feel like this is kicking a man when he's down but you guys have honestly gotta be kidding me if you think the PS3 is the best system out there, seriously man....seriously.

P.S. I would have picked a grimmy poo brown color to represent the PS3 but they didn't have it.:D

rabbidcrazy

You = Zero Credibility.

Of course there are few PS3 titles up there. A majority of the Gamespot.com browser's are not PS3 fans. If you look around the forums you would see that. Also, if you looked at a fact... Gamespot.com basis those on the number of times pages are visited. So you can obviously see that if there are few PS3 fans on this site, that few PS3 game's pages will be visited... and thusly few PS3 games will make the top charts.

Can you tell us where the 10 fans of the PS3 do hang out then? I want to go there and see if they can serve me some 0wnage for a change. Need some veriety if you know what I mean. Friz

Dear GOD, DO I APPROVE OF THIS 0WNAGE ! Nice post, it clearly shows the Brickstation 3 as we all suspected - an insignificant nothing. The comedic fall of Sony continues. Friz

[QUOTE="Felous1"][QUOTE="cakeorrdeath"]Where as Live is peer to perr and so costs them nothing.cakeorrdeath
I thought Microsoft ran the servers for all games ?

No Live is all peer to peer. That's why you have the option to host games.

PSN puts all the controll and costs in the hands of the developers

Actually, not quite. Battlefeild MC 2 is server based for example. It's all dependent on the game. Peer to peer is taking off simply for the fact that people now have fast enough connections and processing hardware to host games - so much so that running dedicated servers is a moot point. And this is truer each year. Certainly cheaper for game manufacurers - but thats the reality of it all.

On the other hand PS3 lacking online support in games is just a factor of the PSN network not being standardised or unified like Live is. To simplify things, developers on 360 just plug and play the Live functionality into their games. On PS3 they need to reinvent the wheel each time, and this costs considerable dollars and time investment. Untill Sony charges for PSN, or bloats it with adware - the cost will always be offset to developers, and you can see where that ends up.
