Sounds like they are taking the storyline and stretching it to make a trilogy. Probably fleshing out individual character arches (maybe even playtime as Sephiroth) , and what happens to the party when they're separated from other members.

I'm just disappointed that it doesn't come with the camera (no my PS4 did not come with one), so the $400 "value" seems deceptive. But honestly, if developers make worthwhile games I'll pay it. That's all there is to it. Give me some killer apps and I'll hop on the VR bandwagon.
Well according to a Famitsu interview with Kitase and Nomura the reason behind the episodic nature will be due to the sheer mass of the game they are planning. Meaning they will be fully rendering towns like Midgar and the slums (per the trailer) on a large scale.
While using episodes in order to have the entire world of FFVII realized in HD sounds great from a gameplay perspective, I can't help but wonder how it will affect the consumption of the story. I hope SE seriously considers the possible pitfalls that come with this decision.
My guess is they will split the game up based on the summoning of meteor. Part 1 will be everything leading up to the summoning, and part 2 will be what comes after, the weapons etc.
Still I don't understand the logic behind this. Will the games be released simultaneously? Are they doing this to avoid releasing a single game and charging more than $60 to recoup the development costs? Or is this all a misunderstanding and really we are just getting multiple discs in the box a la PS1?
Or will they turn it into prequel, main and sequel thing? (crisis core, FFVII, advent children)
Having a blast playing terrorist hunt, after the first 45 min I went 4 straight hours of play only disconnecting once (then again I was host). The non stop waves of enemies do make it a pain, but it keeps the game from just becoming a team deathmatch. Even in multiple losses it is fun IMO.
