KH3 and FFXV are evidence that the days of Square are far behind us. These two games were...*gasp*...

Dont get me wrong: i like capitalism. But this type of merchandise craze is a bit depressing. Just my opinion. Maybe im biased because after the terrible sequels SW is very much dead to me. If you like this, well im glad you can enjoy it. For real, kudos. It’s just not for me.

I wrote this on the other FFVII article and am reposting in the hopes of getting some feedback:

I would like to express my doubts regarding this so called Midgar episode. To put it simply: this game will go beyond Midgar as a surprise factor. I believe it is all a marketing stunt. There is no sense in milking this game so aggressively as to just include Midgar in a full priced game. I think they want to fool everybody so that they can later harvest the surprises and fan appreciation. I am not saying this is bad, or that they are evil or anything of that sort. I am simply expressing my thoughts to the matter. Besides, the game spans two blu-ray discs.

To clarify, I have to say the game would still be episodic. Going beyond Midgar and into the open world would not mean full FFVII. The game would still reach an ending point. I also believe this ending point would be the ending of disc 1 (please don't spoil this ending if you reply, many have yet to play this game). It would be the perfect point to end the episode.

What do you guys think. Thoughts anyone?
