oh, wow, I never noticed that. Either way, until we see some real pictures of the KZ3 jungle level, Alan Wake still has superior foliage.
Superior to what?Superior to Killzone 3 :?

[QUOTE="GGam3r"][QUOTE="TheOtherTheoG"]Isn't that kind of like saying that Gran Turismo 5 has vastly superior car models to Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, because Brotherhood doesn't have any cars?Ravensmash
Yes, but all racing games need cars, action/adventure games don't need cars, but ALL games need environments and foliage very much helps the environment and details of characters. So it's not at all like that.
You're still comparing two things which can't be compared.I don't understand. Environment with foliage >> Environment without foliage. I'm not comparing actual games, only the environments and details.

[QUOTE="VensInferno"] Thats what snow is  Any way, Tc from your previous post.....YOU CANT FOOL ME! I can see you added lots of text to conceal your inner troll.

:o my topics are being rated? I agree I do have some troll in me, everyone does, but there is no denying the fact that the foliage in Alan Wake is superior to that of Killzone 3 because, well. There isn't any in KZ3.

As you can see there is close to no foliage on the ground, it is simply just white stuff with random wrinkles and holes in it. It's clear that Guerrilla Games has no feeling, no passion for snow. Remedy on the other hand take pride in their jungle foliage

Hang on, wait, so Alan Wake's foliage looks better than Killzone 3's because Killzone 3 hasn't got any foliage, just snow. Fair enough...TheOtherTheoG
There we go, thanks you :) that's exactly what I'm saying. There's nothing wrong with it, it's completely true.
this is an obligatory post especially for foliage topics and is that seekar as tc by any chance :S cause he's the only one i have ever seen bleet bout teh foliage lol.
On a more serious note why are you even bothered bout trees and grass?
razgriz_101
trees + grass = better foliage than snow. Isn't foliage important when discussing graphics? Killzone 3 doesn't have much of it so why is it a graphics king competitor?
Crysis has the best looking foliage. I'm here to debunk any myth that a console game can look remotely better and has a shot in hell at "graphics king" Heil68
Yes but this is Alan Wake vs Killzone 3, not Crysis vs console games :)
I gotta feeling your trolling.... Alan Wake looks amazing... Cows will never admit it... At its best is up there with UC2... Its just kinda inconsistent... The whole foliage arguement is stupid considering KZ3 is set on a destroyed world.... Regardless KZ3 looks super sweet can wait for it... vistamanV5
I am not trolling. While that may be true, the fact still remains that Alan Wake DOES have better foliage, regardless of the fact that KZ3 is set on a destroyed world. Its enviornments are foliage-less.
It wasn't long ago when Alan Wake was released and Remedy came out with their next masterpiece. I am here to debunk System War's thinking that Killzone 3 might be graphics king. Because it is very much missing in one very big aspect: foliage.

as one can see, there is lots of plants and green vegetation on the ground, it's quite detailed. You can see the mud on the ground very well and it allows one to connect with the character seeing as he's in a very dangerous environment. The realism portrayed in Alan Wake is like no other, it has top notch voice acting along with great environments, here is a picture of Alan Wake:
This in-game screenshot is like no other with fantastic lighting that beats out Killzone's lighting where light seems to come out of every single direction, it also showcases the amount of leaves in the tree, and the high res details in his jacket are just astonishingly well made.
