Finally got around to playing this last night, so I was not able to experience any of the problems mentioned here since its patch.
It is true that this review could use an "update" like I've seen in some other reviews across Gamespot, but even at the end of this review it mentions that if the problems were fixed "it would be a wonderful choice for kart racing fans looking for ways to enjoy their new Wii U."
By that statement alone (and the problems having been fixed), this version is just as good as the others.
@Chris_Watters Sure, the PS3 version would be better for online, but I hardly play online anyway. However playing with the gamepad on Wii U can be useful in a given situations. Plus if I played online with the Wii U I'd just go into Team Deathmatch anyway because that's mainly all I ever played in previous COD's.
Just glad to hear Black Ops II has no real flaws in the Wii U version because I may just get it for Wii U for the sake of having another Wii U game. It evidently appears to be a better FPS choice than ZombiU.
My only criticism of this review is that it mentions One Piece: Pirate Warriors being a knockoff of Dynasty Warriors. That would be true if both games weren't made by Koei. It's not so much a knockoff more than it just being "Dynasty Warriors: One Piece Edition."
I still look forward to downloading this eventually though since NA hardly gets any One Piece games and the only one I have is Unlimited Adventure on Wii.
I think the main issue here is that certain people don't know how to look at video game scores and believe any game worth a darn only scores an 8 or higher.
Judging from Heroes of Ruin's review and the score the game is "Fair" like it says. Not too good, not too bad. Buy it if you like the idea of it.
I won't get this game because I don't have a 3DS yet and I'm only able to play my brother's when I can. Plus I have my eyes on much better games when I finally am able to get one.
Hm, since I brought up interest about buying low scoring games earlier, that reminds me that I'd still like to get Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory 3D on 3DS. Mostly because Chaos Theory on Xbox was so badass.
@nameaprice @mr111111 Final Fantasy X was still good gameplay-wise (despite the absence of an overworld), but I also consider it the game where the FF series showed signs of decline. It's still alright though.
And how was the voice acting a bad thing? They did pretty well adding voices to characters for the first time.
