Best Buy almost always charges a "restocking" fee on returned items, no guarantee they will accept it at all though. Gamestop will not pay near new price for anything, not much money to be made in that strategy. Good luck.jnjreams76
Umm Are you sure your bestbuy isn't just grabbing money out of you? I had to return maybe 4 things there because the product sucked (mostly routers) And they just gave me my cash back on the spot.
Good. Pirating software, let alone an OS is shameful.[QUOTE="Gamefreak1296"]
Now it won't install. Sigh,

Good to know. My life is changed...
So I uninstalled osx and tried to reinstall it. Now it won't install. Sigh, I was just trying to get audio drivers working...
Not sure what to do about the drivers. (that is what I was talking about in my previous posts, that those OSX-86 installs just have some drivers built into them). Not sure how you would go about adding new ones unless you feel like getting your hands dirty unix style. As for burning an ISO imgburn works great in Windows (and is free). In OSX I believe you can use DiskUtility to do it.Janus67
Thanks! Yeah I Used Disk Utility to burn a new windows disk and now i'm back on windows. I think i'll just keep trying to install OSX with certain drivers until it works. What I am really not looking forward to is putting Snow Leopard on it because i've seen the tutorials and it looks like a pain.
OKay I have osx running. Few problems. One. It wouldn't fully install until I unchecked the majority of the drivers. So I don't have sound, wifi or battery percentage. Any clue on how to get these?
Also. The tutorial I was going off of says in order to set up the dual boot I have to put in my Windows disk and do a recovery. Problem is I got my windows 7 off of an online iso when I bought it and totally forgot how to burn it correctly to a dvd. Any help?

This is my source tutorial. Which version of osx would you reccommend then?
So I have an hp pavilion dv9700
intel core 2 duo 2.2 ghz
4 gigs of ram
I already have windows 7 installed. I need OSX for my work because all we use is final cut pro and macs. It would be nice to take my work home without paying $2000 for a new computer. Anyway i've looked up putting osx on a pc and it seems real simple. Are there any dangers I should be aware of before I take on this challange?
