Hey Guys,

I was looking through the Clearance page on PC Case Gear and found a power supply that is now less than the one that I originally chose, but looks better.

Can you tell me whether this is true? I could spend the money on other parts.

Antec EarthWatts 750W Green (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=67&products_id=18084)

My original one is the Seasonic G-650 80Plus Gold 650W (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15_972&products_id=21503)

Also, is this a good monitor? The original one is no longer at Pc Case Gear.

ASUS VS248H 24in Widescreen LED Monitor (http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=558_1212&products_id=17297)

Thanks,

GamerGal13579

Thanks for all of your help.

I think that I will start with wireless and think about ethernet.

I definitely want ethernet but I don't want to have to send cables through the walls or roof.

I don't think that powerline adapters are for me either.

I will try and figure something out.

I have a very good signal that will easily reach my computer wirelessly. It is quite speedy too.

Should I just start with wireless and then think about ethernet once my computer is up and running?

Hey Guys,

My computer will only be about 10 metres away from my router but I don't really want to have a long cable going through the rooms.

Does this product work? Will it give me good speeds for watching Youtube and playing games (My wireless internet right now let's me watch pretty much any Youtube video at 480p with small to no loading times etc.)

What about the cost? Is it worth it???

Also, will it fit in an Australian socket?? I can't really see.

Thanks,

So I buy a long ethernet cable, plug one end into my router and the other into my computer? Is it that easy? Or not?

If anyone has a good website with a step-by-step guide, that would be great!!!

(I just changed from the standard Telstra Gateway/Modem/Router to a ****** N150 Wireless Modem-Router today. Does that work with ethernet?)

Thanks,

Hi Guys,

I am on a Telstra/Bigpond wireless plan/modem.

The routers range easily reaches the spot where my computer will be put.

I am not really sure what the whole difference between Ethernet or WiFi is. I have seen mixed reviews.

Can any of you explain it to me? Which do you use/think is better?

My router is about 9m from my computer desk, does that help?

Sorry about all of this but it's so confusing.

Thanks,

Hey Guys,

I am using PC Case Gear to buy my parts. I want a surge protector/power board.

This page has all of the available ones. Could you please check them out and tell me which is the best/suitable.

I was just wondering if I need a certain part/parts for surge protection.

Do I need it??? What one would you recommend? (I need to buy it off PC Case Gear and is their a inexpensive option?)
