Not trying to start anything, but in all honestly I think that gears of war 1 looks better than MGS4.

I've said this several times before, and I'll say it again: MGS4's graphics are absolutely nothing more than mediocre. The only good graphics in MGS4 are the 100% scripted cutscenes. As you know, cutscenes don't require any physics or AI calculations because every object in the scene is pre-scripted. Therefore, the entire PS3's hardware can do the real-time pixelshading. Its a known fact that the PS3's graphics chip is so weak, it requires the CELL to compensate. When the CELL isn't doing any work, you can double up on the graphics power. When the CELL actually has to compute physica, AI, game data, etc. it renders the PS3's graphics mediocre as clearly shown in any MGS4 video that shows you actually controlling Snake.

devs show that the ps3 can be a great system, for example uncharted has amazing graphics with no loading whatsoever.

also mgs4 is also just purely amazing.

i just picked up halo 3 with my discounted 360 i bought at the sharper image... it looks awful, imo. i like the gameplay, obviously. makes up for how it looks.

halo 3 looks worse than i thought. im finally playing it now that i replaced my busted 360 with one that igot discoutned from the sharper image. the gameplay makes up for it though.

bioshock looks amazing though, it doesnt get enough credit.
