LMFAO @ Gears 2 in second place. 7 hours of gameplay and having to wait up to 30 minutes to get online. yeah sure thats a great game. and this further proves the major disconnect between gamers and critics, GTA4 was and still is highly overrated.

What level of concern should we have about Valkyria Chronicles....is it even selling on the PS3? IIJuggaNottII
not. at. all. like 33,000 in the US alone. thats kind of sad. its a beautiful game, just released in game cluttered time.

[QUOTE="BZSIN"][QUOTE="ogvampire"]

compared to 13 million on DVD....

less than 10% of total units sold were blu-ray... not impressive

ogvampire

For a BD to have 10% of total sales is VERY impressive when you consider that Blu-ray's marketshare is less than 5%. This is rare, though, normally it's nowhere near 10%.

while that is true, its only impressive in its own context. it would be more impressive if Blu-ray actually outsells dvd.

my point: this thread is jumping the gun.

wow really? no **** it would be more impressive it outsold dvd. good job einstien. this thread didn't jump any gun. read the original post, all this was about is that blu-ray has owned the doubters. its here to stay and will only grow.

and 1.7 million world wide.

quote for the win

quote for the loss, seriously i said this already. this isn't a blu-ray vs dvd battle. just posted this to prove that blu-rays aren't going to crash and burn like hd-dvd. its just proof that blu-ray is here to stay. and come on now, if you knew anything about this at al, you'd realize it is very impressive numbers.

[QUOTE="AntiCrimeSpot6"]Blu-ray is the successor to DVD, just as DVD was the successor to VCD, which was the successor to VHS. If you want to compare, you need to compare TDK DVD sales to Standard Definition digital downloads of TDK and Blu-ray sales of TDK to High Definition Digital Downloads of TDK... By the way, it would be... DVD = 13 million SD Digital Download = 0 Blu-ray = 1.7 million HD DIgital Download = 0

uh...huh? what was the point of comparing them to digital downloadS?!

And you care about this...why?

Seriosuly what possible reason could you have to be delighted that the Blu Ray version of a film sold well?

ithilgore2006
because it means blu-ray is doing well, and is here to stay, and that my ps3's built in blu-ray player won't become obsolete anytime soon...kinda like that $200 add-on hd-dvd player for 360.
