OK thanks. Any recommendations on video cards for PCI-e that can get the job done but not to expensive?

I recently got a new Windows 7 computer. Figured it was time to upgrade from my old XP. But Im having trouble running games like World in Conflict, Company of Heroes even on the medium settings. They run Ok on the low settings but I would prefer to run them on high. My computer does exceed the recommended specs demanded from these games but the framerate slows down the higher I try to set them. Is there something wrong with my computer? I cant even get Battlefield 2 to run on high settings without skips and a low framerate and that game came out in 2005! Here are my specs.
System: Acer Aspire X3400G Windows 7
Processor: AMD Anthlon II X2 255 3.1GHz (2 CPUs)
RAM: 4GB
Nvidia GeForce 9200
The drivers are updated. Also is it possible that an old moniter can slow a games performance? Im using a monitor from 2003. Any help would be appreciated.
Im having a similar issue. Im trying to start a union and when I click to go to step 3, which is the part were I send out the invites to potential charter members, I get a screen saying the page cannot be displayed. It says something about a HTTP 500 internal server error.
This is the first time I've heard of the happening. Maybe wiggle the plug? Maybe the resolution isn't set right so it come up black and white? Or maybe depending were you live it's a pal or ntfs problem?brandon2802I tried wiggling it and I heard some pops and static but no change to the picture. I live in the US so I always use NTSC and Im sure that the Xbox is NTSC because its playing NTSC games. But I never knew that cords and cables are also region locked. That would be news to me. So if it is indeed a PAL cable, is there something I can do about it?
I just bought brand new component cords for the original xbox, not xbox 360, so that I can play some of the games in 480p. However, its showing up in black and white. The audio works fine but the visuals are in black and white. I made sure that the colors are matched up and I tried it out on my TVs second component output but no luck. I know its not my TV because I also have component cords for my PS2 and these work fine. Before I go and complain to the seller, I just want to know if its something Im doing wrong. If not, then I think I just got myself some defective cords. This is the cable I bought: http://www.amazon.com/Silver-Plated-HDTV-High-Definition-Component-Cable-Xbox/dp/B000F2JUOK/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1294102018&sr=8-4
I recently got an Xbox 1 since it was only $25 because there were some xbox exclusives I always wanted to try out like Halo, Knights of the Old Republic and others. But I have a question: Is there anyway to get patches and updates for these games? I know Xbox Live was canceled last April but Im still curious if its still possible to get these updates. Also, I got Counter Strike because on the back of the case it said Single Player action but the single player is really bland and boring. Its basically useless without Xbox Live. Disappointing indeed.
Just like many have said, I would choose Mario 64 from that list. However, I really dont have a #1 favorite because I liked multiple games equally. Here are my favorites:
Starfox 64
Goldeneye
Super Smash Bros.
Mario Party 2
Star Wars Rogue Squadron
Donkey Kong 64
Nice. But I prefer Balthier or Basch over Vaan any day. Oh well, Im still getting it. And yes, Zack Fair would be an awesome addition.
For its time, the game was tough to play and it had bad graphics. You play as ET and you have to wonder around the screen and collect objects to build a phone so that ET can phone home. After that, you start over and play the same thing again. Sounds kinda lame to me. But I never played it, I just read reviews and press of the time for that info.
I first got into FF when number 10 came around. After that, I wanted to check out all the other FFs. So I checked out FFs 4, 5 and 6 and to tell you the truth, the only 2D FF I got into was 6. I dont know, I cant really get past those early graphics. Do forgive me though because I grew up playing in the N64 and PS1 era. Its tougher for me to take an epic story seriously when they are just sprites running around.
