each game is drastically different on the size requirements. some have required installs, some are optional and some have none at all. for example i got these games....
MGS4 - required 4 gigs soul calibur 4 - optional install little big planet - 600 meg install (iirc) valkyria chronicles - optional install disgaea 3 - no install
so you can see its a wide range, although i do think most games that require an install sit at around 2 gigs.
i got my ps3 a couple weeks ago and yes it came with a dualshock 3.
i've not had any strange "crash issues" though i will say my ps3 has a tendency to forget which background i've selected for my theme (original) and sometimes loads up with random color patterns for the background (i've had tan and white) but this is no big deal. hopefully this doesn't mean im predispositioned to have my ps3 fall apart.

It adjusts the background to time. 7:00, it's dark. 23:00, it's dark. 15:00 it's light. Kinda cool.

I think it looks awesome. When you watch it on youtube with improved quality, it looks great.
I still have to play the first two, (hope I get them for christmas) but I'm still looking forward to GoWIII since everybody talks good about the first two.
I just find it hilarious that when MGS4 is exclusive, 360 fanboys hate it, but suddenly when there is a possibility that the game would make it to the 360, they are all like "OMG NICE" - "WOOT OMG LOL PS3 PHAIL U LOST UR GAEMZ"
I'm extremely happy with my PS3, and it's getting better day after day.
I don't care about DLC. Yes, GTAIV might have been great, but by the time I finished it, I didn't want to play anymore, and I definitely won't pay 20$ for DLC, almost one year after it's release.
Yeah, I miss the times when games came finished. You got the game, played it, and waited patiently for a sequel. Now, developers sell half the package, and let's you pay for the other half.
I mean, seriously, what if this happens OUTSIDE the gaming industry? Then I'll be walking into a store to buy a chair, although it's missing three legs, and is unpadded. Three months later they'll send me the legs, and let me pay for the padding.
Resident Evil 5 is extremely identical to RE4. It's just the better graphics and some co-op that has been added, nothing more. Yeah, RE4 might have been fun when it was released four years ago, (Even though it has NOTHING to do with zombies, is annoying when you have to escort that stupid girl through half the game, the story is very, VERY bad, and the fact that it is not scary at all) but I think with the releases after RE4, things have changed. I think many people will be dissappointed with this game, (At least I hope so, it will hopefully lead Capcom to make a sixth game as nice as the first three).
