Err.. you are the idiot. Sony manages to "maintain their network" without charging.
Aside from better network stability on Xbox (which is still only marginal over Sony) there is no real difference between the networks.
At the end of the day it's consumer choice. Pay to play Xbox online or don't and play PS3 online for free. As long as people are enjoying themselves what does it matter?
One of my favourite games as was Warhawk. A very misunderstood game. It's not COD or any other shooter i.e run, point, shoot. You have to learn how to play it properly. If you jet pack 50 ft up in the air across an open map of course you're going to get owned. That's why on foot you use terrain. Getting base raped? There's a big enough spawn area to be able to break out and failing that there's plenty of skill choices so you spawn with the right weapons to help yourself. I'm not saying raping isn't an issue but there's plenty of ways to get out of it.
There should, however, be an option to set a rank limit on servers so that noobs can find their feet without getting smashed by high level players. It's that sort of behaviour that can put people off. If I join a game with a lot of noobs I'll always try to take it easy and message people with hints and tips.
It could be a fantastic game if people gave it a real chance. For a "jump in and play" multiplayer it's a good as any.
Buy a digital copy a that's the same or more expensive than a hard copy??? They save on producing the discs, packaging, in-shop marketing, shipping AND it destroys competition in the market place in one hit. Where are you going to shop around to find the best price? Unless they allow retailers to sell digital copies and compete on prices, like they do now, they can go and do one. As an example they have Borderlands 2 available to download for £49.95. You can get it for about £32-35 if you shop around.
Ha Ha Ha 100% right. Ooooh an analyst said something, quick, panic.
Even if Rockstar gave a date and then put it back I wouldn't care. They'll release the game when it's good and ready. That's usually good enough for 99% of gamers but only 1% of analysts
@Slipknotdayof9 @barrybarryk One thing we do know with Kojima is that it won't be ready until it's ready. I reckon Barry is right, we'll all be old and grey when it's done. Best thing to do is hibernate like a tortoise (in a box of course) until drop day.
Isn't it fantastic that with all the modern technical realisation and replication in games these days, weapons, vehicles etc, the greatest ever stealth weapon is a cardboard box. :-D
