The reason why they don't make one version better than the other on release: All the b****ing they'd receive from the playerbase that their version is the crappier one.

Keeping things equal (to a degree) is the best way to go about multi-platform releases. You don't go out and intentionally make one version better unless the game is having a few months difference in release time, to which you may as well make the late-entry look better to entice new purchases for the 'new' stuff.

(for example, Ninja Gaiden 2 Sigma)

PSX emulation is in all PS3 models.

Personally, I've not had a problem with any of the titles I threw at it. As for MGS, it's run fine for me so far off the PSN download (which remains a steal at only $9), and given that it's essentially an emulation of the original game (complete with me having to swap discs via the PS Menu), I assume the same for the actual CD copy of the game.

Makes me wish network developers were more competent given it's easy to program a game to counter these situations. You shouldn't even be allowed to do anything when network information isn't being received.

This guide is applicable to pretty much every Source-engine powered game, including Left4Dead. There should be a means of taking a recorded .dem file and exporting it as AVI. The benefit in doing that is having the game record what's going on will barely disrupt your frame-rate, versus say, having FRAPS running and crunching at your harddrive.

Not to mention he called L4D2 an expansion. Which is just plain idiotic considering how much content is in it.kieranb2000

An expansion doesn't have to be tiny for gods sake. Look at Star Craft: Brood War, it matched the amount of content both single/multiplayer-wise as the actual game itself, and look how bloody well it sold, and it was damn excellent to boot.

Anyways, Crysis for singleplayer definately. Left4Dead is an utter waste if you don't bother hooking up with friends to play it with, or don't mind playing a few rounds online with idiots until you build a friends list of reliable and smart partners. Valve shouldn't have put a single-player mode into the game at all, the AI just aren't fun to play with, especially when you're unable to issue commands to them like a real player. If you have a good group though, Left4Dead can be some of the most fun you've yet to have all year, especially when you got two competent teams in versus mode.

Long as they are sold in packs of 2, 4 preferably.

I want developers to build games being able to rely on dual-wield setups for this thing.

Would have to be smoker for me as long as I got a teammate ready to pounce the backup support. (there seems to be a trend in players to stick to groups of two whenever one needs to run somewhere for a moment to grab/do something)

Otherwise, my second fav is hunter, but my biggest beef is when you got a nice perfect 25 pounce lined up, just to pounce, hit the guy, and then have the game not even register the bloody pounce. Smoker tongue doesn't suffer as badly for that.

The problem is, Playstation Eye can't recognize depth, that all has to be done in software on a frame-to-frame basis, which is extremely slow.

Natal's huge edge on the Eye for this type of technology is the fact it was two cams installed, allowing it to perceive that depth, find the differences, and more-accurately determine recognition on a 3d-level, rather than checking pixels on a flat image and building a depth-map off of that.
