I know that feeling. Only for me it's Xbox 360 Achievements. I can't seem to move onto another game until I get ALL of the achievements or at least MOST of them even if I beat the game already. I held onto Star Wars The Complete Saga for 3 months when I rented it from Gamefly! THREE MONTHS! It was beaten the first three days I had it!!! Beat it 5 times over simply to try and get ALL the achievements. It wasn't even about fun after the first time just more like "grinding" to get those achievements. I find it VERY hard to play games for other consoles too, like the Wii, DS or PS3 (All of which I own) because they don't offer these types of things. I know PS3 has trophies but only for a small selection of games so I'm turned away from playing games on it. Example. I bought Ratchet and Clank Quest for Booty off PSN (I'm a long time fan of the series) but don't want to play it. I mean I do play it but I'm not really into it like I used to be.....why? No trophies. I lost that feeling for simple gaming fun and now want a REAL reason to play a game. It sounds bad and sometimes it is like I feel like I'm missing out on things, but when I do get my hands on a good game like Silent Hill Homecoming (LOVED that game) I not only enjoyed it but also nabbed ALL of the achievements so it was a double win for me. I guess it's like an addiction to gambling where it's more fun to win BIG then to win at all and sometimes you lose more then you gain.

maybe it is a serious problem?

Like Goblin said the emblems are enough and only thing people who want to brag about their accomplishment care about this. Like a couple of weeks ago someone made a topic asking if he will need to replay GTA4 again to get the trophies because he doesn't want to play the game again, ok you have no interested in the game anymore why do you wanted to update automatically? the answer is simple to show to people online how much trophies I've got.

why else would they add it then? for fun? i don't think so, its a competition thing...

That what I think playing a game is for FUN not showing how well you did in a game. I guess I'm the only one who still plays for fun.
