Most definitely. Hell, I'm going to upgrade to 4 gigs here soon. More RAM always is better.venomblack

Black, you've got an x1300? You can force feed your computer as much RAM as you want, it's not going to fix that graphics card bottle neck. Spend your money wisely.

As for you kato, 2GB looks like the way to go since you're going for the OS and Crysis. You could just hold off on buying the RAM until the game comes out. Though us mortals don't really know what the recommended RAM for Crysis is going to be.

2 Gigs really isn't all that necessary. 1GB will get you where you're going. If you look at the Gamespot hardware guides there really isn't much of a difference between using 1 gig and 2 gigs in terms of performance gain. In Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion (a game with some of the highest graphics requirements available) the game got the same number of frames per second with both 1 and 2 Gigs. You can look for yourself I suppose. http://www.gamespot.com/features/6147127/p-7.html

You will get faster load times but that's all I really see for it.  With the newest games I'd say it could be worth it to buy up to 1.5 gigs. No one ever mentions that option though...

One thing though: I haven't experienced Window's Vista. I'd be willing to recommend 2 gigs for that since the operating system has a focus on graphics and visual effects. But if you're not upgrading soon you'll be fine without it.
