It doesn't appeal to me neither. I respect the fact Halo has such rich community features, but I'm no fan of it's gameplay nor it's pacing. I don't like the fact you can't cook grenades, prone or sprint. I don't like the pacing thanks to the inclusion of vehicles, I much prefer an infantry style game; it prevents the whole "whoever acquires a vehicle first on the map" win type scenario.
