I hate all these politicians who are accusing video games of violent youths and Danger.Here's a few nails in their "theory"
1.This has happened before:it's been done before to EVERY SINGLE FORM OF MEDIA,EVEN BOOKS!.if Video games are any different to them they are horribly mistaken.
2.The Wiistake:politicians accuse electronic games of teaching kids how to kill.For one,most game controllers have a button interface,something almost no weapon has.As for the Wiimote? 1.The Remote does not look like a gun. 2. the remote can't fire anything 3.The intention for most games is associated with pointing,at inatimate objects. Since it doesn't fit any of those criteria,few kids would associate with a weapon.
3.The demographic:What almost no infidel (non gamer in my terms) realizes is that the demographic has changed greatly since videogames began.Several surveys stated that the main demographic in gaming is from 14-29,not 6-60 like in the 80's.
4.the assailants:Most of the shootings even loosely involving video games in some way were commited by mentally unstable teens who didn't see a phsychiactric specialist,even then video games were still accused,which is a very disturbing indicator.
5.The minority:One enormous thing about gaming that people seem to ignore,Is that Mature rated games are fairly uncommon,Which are ironically the most noticed.
6.Misinformation: This pretty much sums everything up.Do your research,learn about the subject you accuse,failing to do so shows that you are ignorant and biased,politicians heed these words,which if you do not, that means you are a failure to the people you're leading.
