@Lawrencevanrijn more then usb 3 can transfer? you do realize that usb3 is capable of 5gbps right? thats 640mb/sec. even 4k uses less then 100 in most cases. its much more dependent on the drive then the cable. harddisks normally max out at around 40~60mb/sec. but Solidstates can go upwards of 500mb/sec. so even bluray is capable of playing on an harddisk. but for 4k movies you will need a solidstate unless the new 4k codecs are amazing.

no big deal since usb 3 drives can be super awesome, just hook an ssd up OMGOSH mindblown.

i think this is great news. specifically because theres almost no way game capture devices will work with ps4/360 because of the bluray drives (HDCP)
