Well they also said the difficulty is going to improve. I noticed that VATS made the game a cake walk until some of the DLC came out with ghoul reavers, albino radscorpions and....those one type of super mutants. No longer was a couple shots to the head a end-all option. It was better to shoot them in the leg to slow them down and then run backwards firing.smerlus
Yeah they have introduced a new "Hardcore" difficulty. And it is not just extremely hardcore, it can be very easy hardcore, normal hardcore, extreme hardcore, etc. Now, you need to drink water to keep from dehydrating, you need a doctor's bag to heal your limbs, and I believe it will be harder to kill enemies

I don't really think it's under the radar but because of the name I first thought this was another Fallout 3 expansion and didn't care. At least not until I read the article about it in GameInformer.Pvt_r3d
Same. At first, I thought it was going to be a half-a**** spin-off attempt, but now it is looking like a full-fledged fallout RPG. I have high hopes for Oblivion to pull through on this game.

Battlefield:Bad Company. At first, I was a "CoD Fanboy," per say. But after buying that game, my mindset totally changed. The multi-player was magnificent in every aspect.

Yes, Fallout 3 was an exception. Newly acquired license plus the grand return of a proper Fallout. It's hard not to advertise.

Wow, absolutely stunned there is no Duke Nukem. Anyways, I am hoping for a new Sly Cooper, Jak and Daxter, and Mario Sunshine game.

Well, it lacks some PR, like say some ingame videos with the hud appearing and gameplay trailers. Its too early to get hyped. I just hope osbidian will fix the engine because many people have problems on the pc right now.dakan45
Its the same as Gears of War 3 though, as they both are releasing new info and have only one trailer. I am, however, a little content with the under-hype. If a game gets too hyped (Halo:Reach), and if it does not live up to our expectations, it can be devastating.

Hey guys. I have ventured on these boards, as a lurker, for quite some time. I have not seen many F:NV topics as of lately. In my honest opinion, it is going to be the surprise hit of this fall. I am certain that it will be an excellent game, judging from the screenshots and magazine information. It seems Obsidian is heading in a great direction with F:NV. Many new features have been implemented, such as the companion wheel and higher difficulty. These two changes are great, as the veterans have more challenge with hardcore mode, and players who enjoy variety will like the wheel. My personal favorite feature of Fallout:New Vegas is the vibrant colors of the "wasteland," per say. It looks gorgeous in the screenshots, but it still retains that "After-Nuclear feel" that was in Fallout 3. Not only is the color a little more prettier, the weapons now have an array of modifications, new to the franchise (I think?). Finally, for those wishing for a true feel of being an evil dweller, or a hero of the wastes, the karma system has been upgraded as well to further influence the way your actions affect other towns and NPCS. Now, what do you think most impresses you about Fallout:New Vegas? It is shaping up to be a great game in my eyes. Do you think it could attain the success of the renowned Fallout 3 before it?

Here are some links for more information on Fallout: New Vegas.
