Ahhhhhh vectorman.........what a game.

Streets of Rage 3 is in my opinion, the best beatem up game of all time.

Bare Knuckle II: Shitou no Chinkon Uta
Streets of Rage 2 is one bad ass beatem up. Argueably the best of the 3.
