I don't know. Maybe it's because I'm from Australia and I don't get the latest in lcd screens. It would looks great using that PS3 option on a 1080i plasma tv (then again, everything looks good on a plasma screen), I wouldn't recommend using it on PS2 games with CGs/movie clips. Like Final Fantasy X for example. Although the graphics looks refined during gameplay, the CG clips will look stretched close to looking like a video clip from youtube.com being watched at full screen. It's even more noticeable on lcd tv, so you're better off playing PS2 games on it's very own PS2 console. However, that option could work splendidly on 2D games. I played the fighting game "Arcana Heart" with that option, and h-o-l-y S%$# did it look good scaled to HD.
But anyway, you guys still haven't told me about what you think of the video scaling device.
