I try to but I have a pretty damn big back log. I would say most of the time I do, but I end up buying more games than I have time for so it looks like I never finish anything lol.

I would buy it. I liked FFX's battle system, just hated the characters.

One of the reasons arcades were so special before is that they were so much more advanced than what we had at home. That slowly stopped being the case around the time Dreamcast launched. What people have at home is now just as good or better than arcades, so they don't see the need to go somewhere and pay to play.

This here is pretty much the main reason you won't see arcades again. I remember going to them as a kid and being like woooooow!! Some crazy looking games that you got to play for a while. Now you get the same thing at home for cheaper basically.

I have played against some hardcore pro COD players online. I would say they are hardcore. Whether you play one game or one hundred a year if you play a lot then you're into it hardcore.

You can't really criticize this. They are trying to do something different so fans should be happy. FFXIII was a great game, it just wasn't a FF game.

Yes I can criticize them, different does not equate to better especially in this case where the series hasn't been good in at least a decade. FF13 is also one of the worst RPGS I have ever seen so I disagree there as well.

It sucks because I loved Sonic Generations so much. First Sonic game I liked since the Genesis days. Please make more games like that Sega.

Enjoyed the demo, but I feel it is too much money for what it is so I will pick it up probably on the holiday sales. If it was $5.00 I would be all over it, but for such a short game it doesn't seem worth what they want for it.

This goes right beside Gone Home which I feel the same about. Will hopefully get them both for a good price on the next steam sale.

The only thing that connects each Final Fantasy together are the appearance of certain creatures, spells, items, and music. Otherwise, every single game in the franchise has taken place in a completely different universe with different characters and stories. Each new FF game can very well be its own IP if Square wanted it.

With the name, for me, comes certain expectations. Much like how I approach a Mega Man game, or a Castlevania. FFXIII does not meet up to those expectations that I have. FFXI, FFXII, and FFXIV actually do. FFXII stood out, true, but it still felt very much like a Final Fantasy game to me, striking a good balance of the familiar and new. FFXIII felt like a decent enough new action RPG, but a Final Fantasy in name alone. I hold the same position on the God of War clones currently aping the Castlevania name.

Me personally I expect AN RPG. Each Final Fantasy that is not an RPG is a failure of the basic fundamentals of what the series is.
