Step 1) Gather all your stuff Step 2) Get in a vehicle (car, plane, wildebeest, etc.) Step 3) Head north Also, what in the world is with the jab at conservatives? That is so unneeded. If you're going to a university, I'm sure they have all the info you need.spazzx625
heh, the government changed immigration laws in 2007 and removed the point system and it is a conservative minority government, i didn't mean it to be a political jab(no, really didn't).
I know the conservatives removed the point based system and made it harder to immigrate but what would be the best way, transferring to a Uni.?
[QUOTE="nchan"]Believe or not, the video is pretty racist, however the individuals are not. The way the opponent(Replublicans, whites, middle upper class) of the healthcare reform try to play the race card is pretty racist. Rusteater
That's a pretty racist thing to say.
RACIST!!!!1111! :P
Judging by your grammer i'd say you're young (no offense), if so then wait and actually contemplate this major decision, also as previously stated if you're planning on joining due to "hatred" as you put it, i'd reconsider.
There's no such thing as free lunch, and as far as health care is concerned we don't have infinite resources, and some rationing must take place. However, if we didn't give such a large portion of money to insurance companies and lawyers, then our system might be able to improve. Universal health care is one attempt at that, although I welcome discussion on alternate methods of reorganizing the health system in the United States.Acemaster27
But single payer or the OP in no way implied that health insurance would be free, what we're saying is that it should be covered by the government as spreading the pool of money to every resident would result in a lower cost for every resident while covering almost the entire population (with the exception of illegal immigrants and temporary immigrants of course, although i personally favor letting the states decide who is covered in their single payer plans, hypothetically speaking.) not only that but there is significant data out there from various studies that suggests that single payer is more efficient, and cost effective. We don't need to go more in debt for single payer, we could fund it right now and end up saving money.
[QUOTE="Blitz_Nemesis"]Calculus and math proofs, two classes that are making me hate like and uni in general.Dark__LinkWhat do you find difficult about calculus? I guess I'm one of the lucky ones in that I math comes naturally... so I just don't understand what gives people so much trouble in classes like calc. I'm not trying to talk down to you, I just really wanna know what in particular is hard. I teach a calc help class and I don't want to ask my students directly, it might seem mean.. :(
I used to hate math because i could never get it but that was because i slacked off and put no effort into learning it and since it builds year by year you're effectively screwed if you do this. But i changed in precalc and tried and found math to be pretty straightforward, not only that but *gasp* fun. It just clicks.
[QUOTE="duxup"][QUOTE="mattbbpl"] And you're assuming that most people would still vote along traditional party lines, and that current non-voters wouldn't find a reason to vote for the new party.mattbbplI didn't say they would. You made the statement that the mindset needs to change, that isn't the only thing. Fair enough. I'm assuming that if the mindset, then people wouldn't feel "trapped" into voting for someone they didn't really agree with. That's all I'm looking for. Some competition so I don't have to say, "Well, I don't really like Bush, but he's better than Kerry".
I am very against the two party system, theres no way that two parties could possibly represent all views, and because of the concentration of power in two parties, they tend to become corrupted. We need campaign finance reform, im in favor of publicly funded elections and i would also like to experiment a bit with porportional representation. If there are any Austrialians here could you please inform us of what it has done.
