The more I hear about the new Xbox, the less I want it. And I was a HUGE original Xbox guy. When everyone I knew had a PS2, I had the Xbox and it got WAY better as the generation went along.
With the Xbox 360, Microsoft (in my opinion) reversed that trend and I have had a PS3 as my main console most of this whole generation. And I will be buying a PS4, not whatever the hell the next Xbox is going to be called.
$500 for a console that has to be connected to the internet or it can't function? And one of the reasons it is priced higher is that I have to use a stupid feature that I, or most people, don't want (Kinect)?
No thanks.
BTW, what was the over/under on Microsoft being the crappy company that they usually are and blowing this whole console race thing by being arrogant & stupid just like they are at everything else?
Didn't Aliens: Colonial Marines go through this same sort of life-cycle? Yea, games that get a lukewarm reception upon reveal & then get COMPLETELY redone for 3 yrs. usually turn out great!
Mario, Zelda,. blah, blah, blah. I have been a gamer since the Atari & and I love Nintendo, but how many consoles is this (in a row) that the 3rd party support for the system is lacking?
Nintendo got lucky this past generation with the Wii as it became a fad that mothers and little kids liked playing. It had some great games, but wasn't as good as the Xbox or PS3. Oh and those great games.......1st party for the most part.
Now with the Wii U, Nintendo is trying to go the well again with a gimmicky, under-powered system. Glad to see people aren't falling for it this time. Sorry Nintendo, the mothers & grandmothers have closed their purses.
What the hell?!! The Voting Channel is what me and my gf still use the Wii for (that and Netflix sometimes when I don't have my PS3 hooked up). This is bs! Like it would cost them THAT much to keep a Voting or Weather channel going? Frickin' Nintendo. The Wii sucked and we used these channels more than I used the system for games.
