Well, I think mine is new too since it came back with stickers on it as well and it was missing all the scuffs of the old one. I was just saying that people told me that it was not new and that Microsoft changed the manufacturing date, which seemed a bit odd to me. Anyways, no 360 is safe, so don't go playing it in a sauna or anything...

I have never played the PGR series, but I have heard they are enjoyable. I was a big fan of the Gran Turismo games, especially 3. Is PGR anything like the Gran Turismo series or is it something completely its own?

I thought mine was new too, the manufacturing date was only 3 weeks prior to me getting it, but everyone on this board said it was a refurb. It was shinny white, and had the sticker over the dvd drive, but still everone insisted it was not new. However, I still think it is. I would watch out with yours though, my "new" 360 makes more noise than my old one.

Fall of Liberty, yeah I know it will probably be horrible, but it has a somewhat interesting story line.

So, I just got a refurb back from Microsoft and today is the first day I have played a game instead of watching a movie. It is extremely loud, and quite hot. It is horizontal, but I elevated it with hockey pucks so there is air flow in the bottom. There also is really no room to put it vertically. Would one of the new intercoolers work, or should I try something else? Plus, my entertainment center is below the AC unit.

Wait, even though that date is the one printed on the console? Man, I thought it was new... All white and shinny...

So I got my 360 back today. Although I had to drive about 30 minutes to the UPS main center to pick it up it was worth it. My question is, not that I am not thankful to have it back, because I am! But the production date is 8-28-07. Surely they had HDMI consoles out at this point, right? Anyway, at least I can play halo 3 now.
