I hate the idea of digital distrubtion. Call me old fashioned, but I like having a physical copy of my games. One reason being that if one of my systems ever break I don't lose my entire collection for that console/have to redownload everything again (which with full blown games would take far longer than I have patience for). I'm also somewhat of a game collector so I naturally hate the idea of digital distribution since it would destroy the hobby.gameguy6700

I agree. I also do prefer a physical copy of the games I collect. I rather not download the games directly to the HDD. What if the whole HDD crash I would hate to spend all that time and have to re-download the entire collection again. Especially if the games are 7gigs or more. I do not mind seeing the retro games being distributed this way, but for full scale games I would prefer the disc format.

How long have you had the PS2 for? Fat or Slim? You can try using a lens cleaner or can of compressed air to clean the lens. If the problem is due to a dirty lens.

Also if you have easy access to the lens you can manually clean the lens with a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol.

It's a slim PS2 and I've had this one for about a year...Is that thing with the q-tip and rubbing alcohol definetaly safe?

I'm not sure how safe, but I read and heard people who have said it had solved/worked whento appliedthat solution to the problem.

I was just wondering if there's a good site out there that can help me with a problem I've been having with my copy of God of War. Now I know this is probably a little late to be posting something like this but when I'm completing this one task the game "freezes" and I'm unable to move Kratos, yet I can pause the game and browse through all of the menus. Thanks for your time.D3R1N

You might be able to find the solution at http://boardsus.playstation.com/playstation/board?board.id=godofwar

Have you tried any other DVD movies if possible to see if it's not just one movie being effected.

Where is the PS2 position at? You can try using a fan to cool it down.
