In December I made myself a points goal of 7,500 achievement points in 2006. I went past that point a couple of days ago. Currently I am at 7,796. Suck on that you point suckers.

This weekend I got all 1000 points from Madden 2006. 400 points for simulating 30 years was barely worth it. On second thought, it wasn't worth it. I also got some Amped 3 points. Love them points:D
I crossed the 5000 point barrier last night and I did it without playing a game. I got most of my points from NBA Live 2K6 by simulating seasons until I earned the points. Totally lame, but it is the only practical way of unlocking those points. Personally, I think NBA Live’s game play made it the worst of the three basketball games that I played for the X360. Got 960 points out of it though (the last 40 available are obtainable online and I don’t have a gold membership). I also got 60 more points out of Perfect Dark. Those points take more time to earn than I like, but since I already own the game, why not? OMG Points!!!
3,645 points was so last Friday. Now my score stands at an amazing 4,610. This weekend I beat Open Season and scored an additional 90 points in Perfect Dark. Points should remain stagnant until Thursday when my next shipment from gameznflix.com should be coming in. Till then, you can revel in my astonishing gamerscore.
Anyone who cares about points knows that there are some games out there where the points are extremely easy to get. I signed up for gamesnflix's 14 day free trial and got three games in yesterday. I played from when I got home from work until I went to bed and got 2,125 points!!! I beat NBA 2K6 and College Hoops 2K6. This more than doubled my points total, which, as of this post, stands at 3,645. I expect to beat Open Season this weekend. Look out Jeff, here I come! (maybe not).
I have never been any good at Pac-Man. But I am addicted to points and the next points I can earn require me to score 15,000 in the Pac-Man mini game in Ridge Racer 6. After 2 days of attempting this achievement, my best score was 14,430. Close, but not close enough. I hate Pac-Man.
Here are my thoughts on FF7: Advent Children. The movie was interesting and ultimately fun to watch, but it wasn't without some flaws.
Pros: The graphics where very detailed and fast paced. The fighting scenes in the film were much different than how the game plays, but it worked. All major characters in the game were in the movie. The story was interesting, but the movie could have used more of it.
Cons: All action and very little plot. Almost no character development (even for the newly introduced characters). The story sequences seemed rushed while the action sequences seemed drawn out. Viewer would have been lost if they hadn't played the game.
My tilt is very high because I am a huge fan of the game and the movie brings back good memories. Overall grade: 8.5
I think if Sony is able to launch a system for a price that is within $100 of XBOX360, they will win the next-gen war. To do that, they can't loose too much money on the release or they will have to charge out the nose for games. If the costs are anything like the $900 a concole, this can never work and Sony must come up with a new plan.
If $499 is the top price a mass audiance will pay for the system, the max cost to produce the concole is $600. Anything more than that and the concole war is aready over.
Let's hope they figure this out and launch something in the next year.
When I play an RPG, I usually change the name of the primary adventurer to my name and pretend to take on that persona. While you can’t change the name of the main character in Quest 64, my name also happens to be Brian, so isn’t that convenient. Bear with me as I give the rest of my review in first person.
Oh no! My father’s been kidnapped. I must go save him. Let me leave this undeveloped town full of empty rooms and run down the only road to look for him. This road has many enemies, but they don’t give me too much trouble. Oh no a boss. Oh no, he just killed me in three moves! I thought I was stronger than this. Let me go back down this same road again and fight more enemies until I am strong enough to beat him. Man is this taking forever. Why must I let them hit me over and over again just to raise my defense? I could just avoid their attacks, but that would limit my ability to level up and isn’t that why I am fighting these guys all over again?
Ok, I made it back to the boss and took him down. Now I can go on to the next town. Wow, this town looks just as underdeveloped and empty as the town I was from! I guess I will keep going down this road. More easy enemies. Another boss that is too difficult for me. I guess I will just rinse, lather, and repeat until I can beat this guy. Man does my life suck. I’m sorry father, I can’t keep doing this. There must be more to life than this terrible quest that I am on. At night, I dream of a rich vibrant world called Hyrule and a girl name Zelda. I have Finally concluded that every Fantasy I have is so much better than this. Father, I wish you the best, but you are on your own. Good-bye cruel world, it was just not to be.
And with that I died.
