I have been a casual gamer ever since my original xbox died in 2004. Since then, I have bought a xbox 360 but I rarely play on it. I just don't think video games are as fun/realistic as they should be. For example, the E3 2005 trailer for Motorstorm and Killzone 2, for the PS3 was just CGI by RealtimeUK. For me, watching a target render, that is so mind blowing, and realizing that the game isn't as good, is a major disappointment for me. For this reason, I havn't played (continually) much video games for years. But enough for my ranting. When do you think that video games will be able to achieve the target renders of these trailers? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y4aimv4YjT0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_g22iiQurkY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_f6pg7rgNHc&feature=related https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ko9xC6TMdiw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXGrXDlAhlc&feature=channel_video_title https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vs7kix6_8Ks&feature=g-logo&context=G23159b4FOAAAAAAABAA Could PC achieve this kind of gameplay, in real time, today, if it weren't for multiplatform games? I know that I may be expecting too much but if we are to settle for the games we have today, we might as well be playing the PS1, never advancing video games.
