This list fails. Most of the games listed came out before the 360,ps3 or wii

James161324

That is because PCgames don't have generations.

IE. I could go to the store right now and buy the Kings Quest Collection for the PC. Even though those games were made in the 80s-90s.

PS3's 2010 lineup so far has surpassed XBOX 360's lineup.

Period.

theseekar

Nope, not even close,Mass Effect 2 and Alan Wake are far longer, more varied and complex games than anything on PS3 this year

Also Alan Wake looks beyond words spectacular, i have seen nothing like it on PS3 at that scale and dynamic lighting

Mass Effect 2 was actually very short. Shorter than the original Mass Effect. They cut like 50% of the sidequests... most of which involve running 10 feet from the quest giver to get something and then bring it back....

Heavy Rain flopped too.:? But I agree that PS3 has a better exclusive lineup than the 360 this year. Halo Reach will probably be the only AAA exclusive this year (Crackdown 2 & Alan Wake will both score AA)

kunggustaf

Uh, Heavy Rain was expected to sell like 30,000... and it sold over 1 million.

I'm gonna go with the PS3 version though. Can't say no to 90 minutes of HD Classic Fight Footage

I could do that, but it really wouldn't change much. The only difference might be that Sony's MLB07: The Show gets nominated as a PS2 game. I still think Earl Weaver Baseball is better. You still couldn't add Ocarina of Time since it's now a multiplat (Wii and Gamecube) so the adventure category stays the same. I can't think of any other changes really.

glez13

Thats exactly what I was talking about. Ocarina of Time in the adventure category? Uncharted 2 in the shooter category? These two obviously show the notorious absence of Action Adventure. You have an action category yet you create a shooter and platformer categories. Why, for example, not make the same with strategy? Real Time Strategy category, Turn Based Strategy category, Real Time Tactics category, etc... Where is the simulation category?

I could go on and on.

Well I'm keeping the categories as simple as possible as stated in the original post. Platformers arent the same genre as shooters. Generally shooters are divided into FPS and TPS. Platformers are games like SUper marios bros, Sonic, Jax and Daxter, Rachet and Clank, etc...

[QUOTE="aia89"]

looks like the 360 ran out of gas and can't still counter games like KZ2 and UC2.

I think neither Halo Reach nor Fable 3 will aim to accomplish new graphical headways, so it's safe to assume that ps3 exclusives still have the edge in that department, which might also mean that the 360's best graphics will be presumably shown with Gears of War 3.

Graphics aside, I just want to see more new Ip's from Microsoft and I really can't wait for the E3, apropos, when does it start?

At the moment I'm so looking forward to Super Mario Galaxy 2, it's gonna be my personal GOTY.

about the E3, I'm really curious about

- Metroid: Other M

- New Zelda

- Halo Reach

- Ico 3

- Mass Effect 3

- Gears of War 3

- Fable 3 ( although I don't like that Molineux guy and his fake promises )

and Rare... to finally wake up and give us a nice game! but who am I kidding...

and I'm not keeping my hopes up for Natal, although I'd hope for some big games that will make a good use of the tech. but I'm kidding myself again.

what say you?

i5750at4Ghz

Weren't KZ2 and UC2 counters for 360 exclusives? And as far as I can tell Gears and Halo are far more popular and imo better games than KZ2 and UC2.

I would say UC2 is more popular than Gears of War... nobody ever talks about a Gears of War movie anymore whereas UC franchise is getting a motion picture made.

Like I said before that is not the only problem with your list.

If you have any titles you feel should be up there, go ahead and say so.

Are you really gonna compare old games with new games? If so add old consoles too.

I could do that, but it really wouldn't change much. The only difference might be that Sony's MLB07: The Show gets nominated as a PS2 game. I still think Earl Weaver Baseball is better.
