I enjoy IGN as a site also, but I find their reviews, especially the VC games to be way to easy. They currently has a bloated count of 64 VC games rated as a 8 or higher, and flame me if you want, but I like to use review scores that I respect to help me make my VC purchases. Obviously games like Super Mario 3 and Ocarina of Time I am familar with, but things like ActRaiser, Gunstar Heroes, and Sin and Punishment were games that I picked up after reading informative Gamespot reviews. It would be a shame for Gamespot to just drop these games from their reviewing editorial.

Is there a way to contact Austin Shau to find out what Gamespot has planned for current and future VC and possibly WiiWare reviews?

I have never been a big fan of how IGN does their reviews, and I don't like to look at old reviews because sometimes a game can age badly and might not be worth my wii points. Furthermore, for a game such as startropics, there is no old review, and I never got a chance to play the game when I was younger.

I guess I am just wondering if anyone has read that Gamespot has officially decided to stop making VC reviews a priority, and if that is the case, then I think they are making a big mistake.

Does anybody know for sure if Gamespot is still planning on reviewing virtual console games, or have they officially decided to stop doing so? There are several major VC releases like Harvest Moon, Startropics, 1080 with which I would love to read a review on, and I don't see any.

I am thinking about taking the plunge for the 120gb hard drive, as I have been downloading several xbox originals and a bunch of DLC(I have about 3gigs left on my 20gb).

Have those of you that purchased the 120gb ugprade been satisfied? Is the data transfer from the 20gb to the 120gb painless? Has anyone experienced any lost data or game saves? Are there any addition benefits besides the extra space?

Could there be a price drop anytime soon? Is it safe to resell your 20gb hard drive and transfer kit once you have completed the move to the 120gb HD?

I know that is a lot of questions, but any help would be much appreciated....Thanks!

The instruments are weird sounding, in particular the blue drum pad more so than anything else. The lag doesnt seem tobe a problem at all, and the TV has been calibrated with the game.

I just set up Rock Band with my new Shapr LCD TV and the instrument sounds are very awkward and overpowering. The drums are way too loud and muffled, and when you are playing multiple intsruments at once, the sound can really become distorted. Are they any settings or tweaks that I can do to the game or tv that would generally fix this?

I am looking to pick up HD component cables for my Wii and had some questions.

-Is there any noticeable difference in the picture when upgrading to the component cables?

-Would you recommend buying the official Nintendo Wii Component cables, or is there no difference between those and a cheaper 3rd party model that you can get off say, Ebay?

Thanks

Does anyone have any idea when Gamespot will get their review out for this already? It has been like 2 weeks since the release on the virtual console. Im curious to see how it rates.
