Probably best and most true statement yet, which makes me think that I shouldnt of even started this thread. Or if that was the first response, i would of locked my own thread since there would be no reason to keep discussing this issue.

How do you know that? Did you go a few weeks into the future or something? If so I will buy your time machine off of you for, ummm....how about thigh massage, with warm honey. Halo 3 will probably be the fastest selling game of all time and probably beat Halo 2.

Seriously though, I cant really see Killzone 2 selling systems for some reason, well mabye if it gets great reviews or something. So far all the publicity is for its graphics. Mabye MGS4 and the next FF might just because of franchise popularity, but thats it.

should i dhow you the list of thirty exclusives for 2008. i won't because i don't want to scare you guys.. lol

the fact is sony has the largest first party both of them put together but again lemming and sheep don't see this. one system makes mario after mario game and the other buys third parties off.

Exclusives alone dont count buddy. I mean there are a ton of exclusive games on the 360 that are not on PS3, and they're probably not helping that much. For example games like Call of Jurez, Two Worlds, Shadowrun, Tenchu, Vampire Rain,gundum games, racing games, stupid games like Civil War, Earth Defense, etc .All these third party games that are not on PS3. That list of yours will consist of mostlyunder the radar games that nobody knows about just like a lot of 360 only games too. Only BIG exclusives sell systems.

wow you just made our list of exclusive look better now. you guys have gears, bioshock, halo 3, mass effect and two have not been reviewed yet. that all shooting games. how about some sword play or something.

What do you mean? I was talking about all the third party exclusive games for 360 that just dont make that much of a splash, and just dont matter much. The list of exclusives for PS3, 90 percent of the games will probably be gameS just like I listed, unimportant under the radar games. Then a few big ones like MGS, FF, and Killzone. Does anyone understand what Im getting at here at all? Oh yea and for swordplay next year,on the 360we have Ninja Gaiden 2, Too Human, and DMC.(though I know DMC isnt exclusive)

If the PS3 were out for a year before the 360 then the 360 would be last and PS3 would be first or second. The 360 has been out longer to sell more is all. This is why it can't be called for a few years. casey7672
Thats not true, 360selling at a much better rate now too.The ratio is almost 2:1 at times. That may have been the reason 6-7 months ago, but now there is no excuse.

Actually I dont think MGS is that popular outside the gaming realm, mabye FF because of the anime and manga lovers, but Metal Gear isnt as well known as it should be like say Halo or Mario.

Oh well, there is always next gen Sony. I really cant see how they can catch up. I mean the only games that may push console sells would be MGS4 or the next Final Fantasy. Or if they drop the price significantly. This holiday there is nothing that can take the spotlight off of Halo 3, especially with all the publicity its getting. I mean the game had a Future Weapons special on Discovery Channel last night(though it showed absoulutley nothing new), itson the cover of TIME magazine, Wired Magazine(in which they call Halo 3 a science), and has a bunch of cool advetisements like the museum ad, plus they show the CGI trailer in the movie theater from time to time. Its alsohas its own Mountain Dew, Game fuel. So it is nearly immpossible for Sony to catch up, at least this holiday. Then there is Bioshocks popularity. Also Ninja Gaiden 2s recent coverage.

Yea well just because one is on top now doesnt mean they wil be again next gerneration, look at Sony now. Nintendo too, Sony out did them, now they are beating Sony. It flucuate. Nobody should assume who will start out winning next generation. 360 is beating PS3 this generation, last was a different story. Gamcube did horrible last gen, now look at Wii. Nintendo went from last place to first.
