Killzone 2 for sure.
FEAR 2 was incredibly disapointing from my point of view, they totally ruined what FEAR was originally about with stupid mech shooting sections and waving OTT 'scary stuff' in your face every corner you turn so by the time I was half way thru the demo I was completely desensitised to it, and believe me, I'm a total wimp when it comes to scary games, I got freaked out by dead space before I even got to an enemy lol.
The KZ2 demo, however, was godly.
[QUOTE="ReaperV7"]i like the controls and gameplay....its just the HORRIBLE AI and sheva that piss me off ...SmashBroChamp94Cut Capcom some slack it's the first time they added a computer player as a partner and that's what co-op is for. =D
It's not the first time Capcom have added a computer player for a co-op situation. People seem to be forgetting Resident Evil Zero for the Gamecube where you had both Billy (think that was his name) and Rebecca Chambers both as playable characters.
I agree that the controls do suck, but then again if you could bare it in RE4 then surely you can bare it here, and RE4 was a big hit if I remember rightly. The thing I hate about the game is that it seems almost identical to 4 with just a few minor tweaks and a beefed up polygon count.
Soooo, played through the demo about 3 times so far..
And I must say, I'm so looking forward to this game. I mean the controls did throw me off the first time, however, they kind of make sense considering where the cover button is. Once you get the hang of the cover system the game becomes really fun and entertaining, this is one of the first shooters where I feel like I'm in a proper firefight with opponents who can think logically and will really try to survive, I really liked the way the helghast don't even need to come out of cover to try and shoot you, a group of them can supress you with blind fire while another couple attempt to flank you round the side, very entertaining shooting indeed. This was on the normal difficulty as well, so I am VERY excited for this game, so glad I pre-ordered!
Hmm, I bought dark sector because it was cheap and to be honest I was abit disapointed, I mean I wasn't expecting it to be brilliant but the whole thing was abit dull for me. It takes so many aspects from other games but doesn't do anything really new of it's own, except the decapatating boomerang. Still if you enjoy it then that's awesome.
As for other bargain games, give Uncharted: Drake's Fortune a try, it's pretty cheap now and it's a really fun game so gar, I imagine you'd like it, similar combat to DS.
I got COD5 with my PS3 ina bundle as well as Resistance 2 and MGS4, and I pretty much hardly touched W@W, it's not because it's a bad game but because it's way too similiar to all the old WWII CODs, I know the Japanese settings adds abit of variety but not enough IMO.
However, I've bought COD4 because a few of my friends play it online and I'm really glued to it. The guns feel better, the combat feels more intense, there are nice things you can do because it's set in the present day too (Stingers and that sort of stuff). And of course the Multiplayer is really deep and rewarding too.
Also COD4 is still developed by Infinity Ward, Treyarch did a gd job with COD W@W but something about it feels different, I can't quite put my finger on it.
[QUOTE="PSdual_wielder"]yea sony realy did a poor job ripping of nintys idea lol ...sorry i had to say it, dont hate me :pI also think sixaxis is poorly implemented. It's fine for minor stuff like cranking a wheel(killzone) or shaking off your camo(MGS4), but letting it become a primary gameplay mechanic just shows how bad it is.
Wild_Card
Sony didn't nick the motion sensor idea from Nintendo.
They just didn't annouce it from the start because they thought Microsoft would nick the idea.
At least that's what the chief programmer from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe told me. Mark Frogger i think his name was.
It looks almost identical to RE4 except all the zombies are black.
It also seems like Resident Evil has abandoned the whole horror thing and has gone for a stupid run n gun gore-fest instead.
