I have played all the BF games. Of them all I still enjoy BF3 the most. It is most definately more true to the "open" maps of the first BF game with tremendous improvements. While I liked BF:BC2, I felt it was lacking if for nothing else then the fact that characters could not prone. I am looking forward to Armored Kill far more then CQB as BF is and should always be about large maps and large battles over varied terrains and environs.
The so-called free-to-play with item shop, pvp and perma-death just begs to say those other dreaded words "pay to win". In the day, I loved Wizardry. And if this were the same sort of Buy and Play IT game without the item store, I would be all in on this one. As it is now, I will just have to wait and see. Free to play is such a scam.
Not convinced. He spoke too much about "compromise" in things like art style and things of that nature. He was non-commital on how the game will follow in the footsteps of the Elder Scroll series. What I have seen of the game so far, it do not LOOK like what I would expect from an Elder Scrolls game. Perhaps all of what I have mentioned will be wrong but it sure doesn't look like it so far.
I follow a lot of what goes on at E3 and NONE of the above were even on my radar after E3 2011. I guess it is just a personal choice thing but none impressed me that much.
People here and elsewhere are so angry and appalled over the treatment by Activision towards the ex-Infinity Ward Execs. Yet, I have to wonder, how many of those same people STILL play WoW or Call of Duty?
After seeing this, I am under impressed. Was not aware that this was going to be yet another 3rd person shooter with simple run and gun mechanics. Was looking for something more like the GR of old I guess. May still get the game but may wait a while to see more reviews once launched.
