Back in 2001, I was in 1st grade. I had a brand new Dell that my parents got for me. I was given a choice of 2 brand new computer games in which I could bring home, free of charge. I chose the ones with the coolest covers of course, which turned out to be the best games I have ever played. Shogun total war and Call of Duty. However, being that this is about Call of Duty, Shogun will be sidelined. Anyway, Call of Duty was an amazing indulgence for a first grader. I had never seen violence like this or the storyline that allowed me to become immersed into 1944. It was a great expierience which turned me into a die-hard fan, buying anything Call of Duty.

Unfortunately, like most greedy S.O.B.S., Activison decided to turn this simple game into a Frankenstien of a franchise. 14 total studios are involved in the destruction of the innocent and true game that was COD. 98 million copies later they decide to do a little shindig called "Call of Duty: XP". It's the physical representation of the oversized ego of the whole series and the company all for releasing Modern Warfare 3. Just because you can book the Dropkick Murpheys and a man with an equal to or greater ego, doesn't mean the game will be great. You actually have to keep improving on what you did before!

Nay I say, to you who read this and find that you don't like what you read. This series will sell well because it appeals to the weekday warrior. I cannot deny that, But I write this because like all great things, they have to end. They must! I call the series a Frankenstien because it is the same old resurected parts! Nothing greater is coming out of the series. It is a ressurected pile of the same crap that we villagers can't seem to get enough of. No matter how ugly it gets, we still love it because somewhere deep down we might think we found something salvageable.

What goes up, must come down. End this series.

There was a system that was supposed to release in the summer of 2010, promising all games could be downloaded. However, I can't remember what the name of the system was called, nor do I know what happened to the thing. Help me please!

I'm an avid computer guy, but I really don't know what makes the computer. I really want to know what is the big necessary tool for making a game look it's best. is it the graphic card(s)? the amount of ram? Please let me know because I want to make a purchase based off of what you know. Thanks.

I noticed today that Steam has extended their coverage to Macs. I thought that it was such a great idea because the Mac is skimping on games. Way to go steam!

[QUOTE="Gunnygopher123"]

Just last night I bought a good Alienware. I was wondering how much I would need to install/ work on the computer after I get it factory direct. Will it be like an Apple, or a Blank Slate ?

IvanElk

I am a more build it myself kinda person, but I am pretty sure alienwares come preloaded with all the software you need.

I think you're the only person who actually answered my question. Thank you

I woke up to my paper this morning to some scary news. A state ban on selling violent games to minors. A new law, which invades my 1st ammendment, could limit the sale of violent games to anyone below 18. This isn't the first time either. Remember Hilary? She tried to get GTA IV the AO rating. I hope it doesn't pass, because I just turned seventeen... Tell me what you think.

It's been my dream of building my own rig and now I have enough money, but no idea what to pick out. I put some stuff on lists but I would have no idea how to put them all in. I do know whereeverythinggoes but I don't wanna screw anything up. Anyone have like a list for an $1100 computer?

I remember as a kid playing those games with a kick ass green guy. I thought I read something about the company closing a while back but I loved all of their games.
