no and I have never seen or heard of anyone puking other than you. I've seen people be disgusted but not puke. People usually freak out when they see the baby's head just coming out ...... me, I kept on looking and thought to myself "what the hell ???? .... that must suck"Nonstop-MadnessI was more like " ouch... that must hurt"
[QUOTE="GTR2addict"]Everyone is afraid to stop and help, for fear of being looked down upon by the rest of the sheepBiancaDKno, it's not out of fear, it's diffusion of responsibility. You pass the buck because you can. Helping other people in extreme situations is an unfamiliar situation for almost everyone, so incognitively we somehow decide that someone else is better suited to take action. Dialing a number isn't too damn hard.
[QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"]Can i just say that, living in a big city myself, i dont think it's fair to condemn everyone who walked past him. They didn't know he'd been stabbed. I watched the video and there is no massive pool of blood like the story says; not that i can see by any means. I encounter drunk and homeless people all the time walking through the city, especially at night, and over time your instinct is to just put your head down and walk on by. Crime is very high in big cities, especially somewhere like Queens in NYC. People aren't as friendly as they are in small towns and villages. If someone's a stranger you're naturally very weary of them straight away. One guy did clearly try and shake him to wake him up, and we forget that the man was HOMELESS. I doubt he was looking his best. Most people probably just assumed that he was drunk or asleep. It's terrible that he died trying to help a lady, but we shouldn't be so quick to condemn everyone who didn't run to his aid based on that video. metswonin69I quite agree. Add your post to the bystander effect, and I bet at least 80% of the people that posted in this thread wouldn't have called the police. I know I probably wouldn't have. That is why you live in NYC, scumbags like you should stay there.
