Okay, here are my reasons why Wii is'nt Next-Gen. Don't get all mad and stuff. Remember, I want your to hear your reasons too!!

-It only uses 480p. No Hd.

-Cost far more least than the other guys.

-Mostly all games are average. (According to gamespot ratings)

-Hardware is much less powerful in this gen.

Well here are my main reasons. Care to share yours, :)

Have A Nice Day. :)

DoctorBunny

While I don't agree... Wii IS next gen...

And why the hell does it matter that is costs less? Or wait, more least I mean.

Using your logic. Every single plug and play system is now next gen. Graphics, Price and physics don't matter right? Graphics, AI, and physics are what make next gen. Physics being the most important. Whgy not buy a Gamecube for $250 and mod it to use the controller? I could mod both my ps3 and 360 right now to have the same exact controller functions with top graphics physics and AI.

/end

No you couldnt, want to know why?

The GC isnt 250$ and has less power then the Wii, and has older Arch.

The PS3 and the 360 could not be mod'd as of now to even play Wii games let alone use the Wii-mote to play such games.

Physics are not important and never have been, most in game physics you see are an effect these days. Things like blowing up a propane can in Gears of war looks the same everytime, your bullets will hit the same sopt more then once. Those kind of things are what you metion and are trying to brag about, yet the only game to use some great physics was CELL FACTOR

CELL FACTOR SUCKS!!!

Right there!

Total ******* bull!

You spend almost as much time shooting in MP as you do in Halo.

It's an FPS and anyone who says otherwise is ignorant.

Christ you drive/fly around in vehicles for much of Halo, but it is still and FPS!

And Halo's levels are FAR FAR FAR bigger than those in MP. FAR bigger!

End!

P.s I have never played Metroid and have assumed everything I have said up until this point.

freeload

You have never played the game and no one should bother talking to you anymore. Its the truth your basing an opinion on a game you have never played, I have played both. I know the merits of both I have stated both of them 3 times.

Your a fanboy and you need to admit that as the first step to becoming a better consumer.

Nintendo fans can't have it both ways. Nintendo has said they believe the Wii is doing this well because they have targeted non traditional gamers.....meaning people who never play games. I see a lot of people mention playing with parents ect.... so the grandma comment is valid, just using their own words against them. Judging by most of the games I see for the Wii.....how can one argue that the Wii is more family friendly than any of the new consoles?

Will Wii have mature titles, yes. Does that mean it's still considered the family console, unfortunately yes. Just think though, if not for that you might not be selling as well as you are right now. I think parents honestly would rather get their kids a Wii rather than X360/PS3 (with price and family reputation)

darthogre

Well put. I would /slowclap, but I dont think anyone else will read your post and take it like I have there for..

We could debate this crap all day but the simple fact is that Halo 1 is superior to Metroid Prime and if both games were re-reviewd today the disparity would be far more obvious than in the original reviews, which were both done with rose tinted glasses, except when you take them off Halo would still pretty much look and hold up exactly the same, whereas the flaws that were glossed over in Metroid because of nostalgia for the classic series would now be far more visible and would be criticised far more now.

Much like Super Mario World is a superior game to Super Mario 64, and as time goes on the flaws in the latter become more a more obvious, but the genius and near perfection in the SMW becomes more and more obvious.

Halo is a far better game in almost every way and it is aging better over time., and it's true genius is showing more and more compared to Metroid, every day...

I'd rather have huge repetitive levels than playing small levels and back tracking in them.

Flexmaster_365

After playing threw both taking 40 hours plus no guides for Metroid prime 1 and 50+ hours on metroid prime 2 also no guide. I would probably look you in the eye and tell you " You sire have to be the most ignorent person ever to say those levels were small"

Most of those stages your in for hours on end, and not once do they look the same have nothing new in them or have repetative detail. Like a previous poster said you spend about 15% of the game actually shooting. This game isnt like other FPS's and I think I understand now why they called it an FPA, because people like you who have never played it dont know a damned thing about it!!

Therefore calling something you have never heard before would leave you speechless and the whole world would be smarter for you not talking.

Something tells me the most preorderd game in the world right now wont have to much trouble. Yes it will take away from what could have been as UT is the better game. Am almost positive of this and I havent heard any news on either.

Gratz, I cant wait to try this game out, I did miss out on Manhunt 1 though. I hear Manhunt 2 is stand alone, meaning I wont fall out on story or anything, but it would be cool to have played both.

Either way Nobou is right EB is terrible for crap like that :(

[QUOTE="coreygames"]How do you Halo elitests feel about getting owned? Troll all you want, but you just can't beat the immersive environment of Metroid Prime no matter how good the online with 12 year olds is.freeload

How ignorant you are!

It's a shame because Halo is a vastly superior and satisfying game experience and you are likely missing out on this.

Halo 2 is not as satisfying or as good by the way!

Your opinion is just that, yours not mine. In my mind Metroid rules Halo, as Halo is a wannabe PC console Shooter. Metroid is what it is and always has been since prime, the best Adventure fps. I cannot even name a PC game that beat out Metroid in any short of major gameplay, story, depth, or puzzles. Not one!

The gamging community has spoken.

Metroid is the harder, more orignal and more in depth single player game.

Halo is the better multiplayer FPS. Its nothing super.. Just like all the hermits have been saying since the dawn of Halo, its been done before thats why Halo scores well on the Xbox and not the PC.

[QUOTE="lucas_kelly"]Xbox 360 does have better exclusives, not just now but in the future also.fuzzysquash

FFXIII, FFvXIII, White Knight Story, MGS4, God of War III, Eight Days, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet and Clank Futures....there are plenty of good PS3 exclusives.

There are plenty of good PS3 ones, but to think there are enough to make the 360's look bad or even worse is a joke all on its own.

I never get when people go on about Metroid being focussed on the single player game vs Halo being focussed on the multi-player game.

Halo is easily a superior single player game too, in story, graphics, level design, depth, challenge, gameplay, everything...

freeload

Halo is more focused on multiplayer as MP 1 never even had thee option. Halo started joint console LAN and it made it take off with live and Halo 2. Not once have i ever heard anyone say that the single player was great in refrence to Halo. I have played both Halo 1 and 2 and both Prime 1 and 2.

I played Halo 1 single player and Halo 2 threw on Co-op on heroic with my brother. I foudn it fun, but story? Are your freaking kidding me? Depth? Levels are okay, but Metroid Prime one alone beats the crap out of both of them in level design. Sorry if you havent played either or both.

Single player Metroid owns it up Halo sucks it down. Depth, puzzles, some of the most original effects and levels I have ever seen. Outside of maybe Katamarydamancy but its not and FPS If you have been playing Metroid since the dawn Prime does the game justice and holds up and adds a huge amount of great history and current story. Halo is a book called " Ring World " See original in the dictionary.... It doesnt involve taking someone elses story and making it a game.

Multiplayer Halo Owns it up, Metroid sucks it down. Console LAN is great 16 players is awsome, I got to do it in high school for Halo 1 and it was always great sidewinder and blood glutch are some of the best capture the flag levels in any FPS I have ever played. I never got to play tribes though, and I hear it has the best CTF moe ever! For Halo 2 I went to the unveiling and I was selected to play in a Halo 2 console LAN across famous player big screens, it was great I got rocked as I never played a large amount of halo in comparison to the others there. Triva was easy ;p playing a guy named Disposable Hero wasnt  ; ;. Metroids Multiplayer in MP2 was a joke it was shallow and had some lame level design. The only saving grace for MP's multiplayer is Metroid prime hunters and its pretty good. I have only played about 20 matchs and only played as Saemus but it seemed balence. Unlike Mario Kart and that Drifting gliche.
