@pvspartan36 It's all a matter of taste, I suppose.Reach, to me, was a loosely connected series of random vignettes, haphazard excerpts of a great novel I would dearly love to read. Game play was classic Bungie Halo, and the novelty of fighting with a team somewhat lessened by playing ODST, a year or so before. I thought ODST had a much more coherent and well-constructed story from beginning to end, whereas Reach was more-or-less fragments of what COULD have been a great story. The current yarn is acceptable, but I also miss Marty O'Donnell's bombastic riffs, as well. Our differences aside, I love all the Halo games, with all their flaws, and yearn for the next installment.
Nothing is "free", somebody is paying for it. It's on the same line as "buy three tires and get the fourth one free." Only a complete idiot thinks he's really getting the fourth tire for free. Personally, I could never again trust a corporation that sold me a console, and then by forced DLCs, stripped feature after feature from it without my permission. I pay for quality when I pay for Xbox Live, they OWE that to me. Sony doesn't owe YOU anything.
Well, all you have to do is persuade Microsoft to give up hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, and hemorrhage profits the way Sony is doing like a stuck pig, just so a handful of whiners and freeloaders can play for nothing. Good luck with that.
