I have never really kept track of the actual time of how long it took me to beat a game. I find that open world games take me longer to beat because I love exploring the world and I like doing side missions as well.
Mario is not anymore overrated than any other older console mascot. I find that if you are a fan of Mario you are still enjoying the games that Nintendo has been releasing.
