I was watching that the other night and I wasn't impressed. Most shows predicting the future (except 2052) focus on the worst case scenario, at least the ones around now do. I see how it's all a possibility but I personally think that the future will be great.

I'd have to say that my favorite movie is probably Pulp Fiction. As far as comedies go I'd have to go with either Dr. Strangelove or Young Frankenstein.

A lot movies that get very high ratings by critics I end up either hating (A Clockwork Orange) or I just can't finish them (Lawrence of Arabia. I've tried to finish it 4 times, I just can't). Just thought I'd mention that bit of information.

Cloverfield, Watchmen, District 9 (most people I talk to hated it). And I actually liked (not loved mind you) The Book of Eli.

I'm not saying that the movie had an enormous impact on the film industry, but I'm surprised that no one's mentioned Pulp Fiction. I also haven't seen The Godfather mentioned (it might have been, I was skimming over everything). I'd also have to say Apocalypse Now.

This guy as well.

JediXMan7

True. Though the comic version is better.

That's an understatement. The movie version was terrible. The guy doesn't even look anywhere near the part.

And I'd have to pick Rorschach. He's like a Batman that just kills criminals. Except for the fact that he's the opposite on the financial side of things and he likes to walk around with signs saying that the end of the world is coming.

Dragon Age: Awakening and God of War 3. Can't decide which one I'm going to get.

As did I, but I don't see it as them tricking me. I see it as me judging a game far before I actually played it. Luckily, I didn't let the dissapointment of buying into the hype ruin the game for me, it is still a great game (the general concensus among most reviewers, which I do find a heck of a lot more realiabe then the opinion of other gamers, people are stupid!).

I sincerely hope others can replay it without bias.

MetalCore84

I played through Fable 2 once, and after I finished that play through the only real feeling that I came away with was disappointment.

  • I thought that the combat was made way to simple to the point where it had gotten boring about halfway through.
  • I hated the way that interaction with NPC's was reduced to dancing in front of them, making faces, farting, etc.
  • The game was way too easy and way too short
  • The last "boss" fight was just terrible. Walk in, shoot him, you're done.
  • I didn't like any of the characters except the dog

If you liked the game than that's great, but I didn't and not because it just didn't live up to the promises, I legitimately did not like it. I played through it because I wanted to give it a fair chance and I was hoping that it would get better, but it didn't.

You gave it a chance at least, which is a heck of a lot more then most people can say. I do beg you to give Fable III a chance as well, it obviously won't be the same a Fable II, especially given Peters announcement (I'm so excited for it).

I'l give it a chance, I'm just not going to rush out and buy it day one like I did with Fable 2.

He's probably only doing it because so many people are telling him not to. The way I see it you could either tell him that he can play it if he wants to, or you can start playing the PS3 that you gave him.

I had really high hopes for Fable 2 and I ended up very disappointed, so no thanks. Lionhead will not trick me again.
