Only about 100 missions to go...

As you may know, I own (and finished) Tiberium Wars - Kane Edition. However, I didn't played any of the previous Tiberium-universe games in the franchise before (and I also didn't played the original Red Alert). So I've set myself with a goal a little while ago (early June) to complete every game with every faction(s) on any of the pre-Red Alert 2 games (which means Command & Conquer, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun and Firestorm). I won't try to complete any of the "bonus missions" (which includes Command & Conquer: The Covert Ops' and Red Alert: CounterStrike's and Red Alert: Aftermath's missions). I'll complete only the story missions, because I want to check the story firsthand. So right now I'm in the 8th mission in Command & Conquer, Nod's campaign. You're probably wondering "it took you a full month to finish 8 missions?" and my answer is: No, the damn game keeps crashing (thanks EA), also Red Alert. And little-more-then-random crashing in Tiberian Sun and Firestorm and a complete freeze in any game from C&C to Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge (included) in a multi-core PCs during those games' cutscenes and intros. I'll try to finish the games as quickly as possible. However, unless EA will finally release the damn 1.03 patch (10 months is the works, 10!), I'll just have to crawl my way through the story and save every 5 minutes. I hope that The Second Decade will get a little more QA before release.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.

First of all: Long, as in 3.5-hours-long, got it?

Second: That's one of the reasons why this movie is so good!

Other reasons? OK. Humor, and lots of it. From the multi-Jack-Sparrow Black-Pearl in Davy Jones' Locker (BTW: A real phrase. Meaning: A watery grave...) to the rocket-launching of Jack (Barbosa's immortal pet monkey) into a WAREHOUSE of rockets! (good Jacky) to Sparrow's (kinda) meeting with his mother ("She looks great!") through the movie's ending (chests CAN be funny. Especially if they're used to knock fish-people out!). Next, music. You won't stop whistling and hamming the movie's themes (He's A Pirate, Yo Ho (A Pirate Life For Me)). Great acting, dialogs and plot. My recommendation: A must-see movie.

Spider-Man 3.

I forgot to write about this (actually, I was just too lazy. LOL) but I saw Spider-Man 3 at the movie's opening weekend (Saturday, May 5). I liked the movie, good fight sequences. Humor. Good soundtrack and acting. But the plot felt slightly loose and the theme's remix lost his attractiveness a bit. But other then that... A fine movie.

Comments.

GameSpot's comments got a little touch-up about 2 weeks ago... I call that the Rate-A-Message system. At the bottom of each comment (and by that I mean NOT forum posts, but comments in blogs, in news stories, etc...). If a message gets too many Thumbs Down, then that message will be hidden... Which means that the following will be shown: (does not meet display criteria. click here to show) and in by clicking the "click here to show" the Thumb Down'd message will be shown. It's like deleting it, but without the need to report to a moderator... What do you think on the new R-A-M? I think it's a nice (and useful) touch...

Unlike real world scavengers, these players find and consume tokens. This emblem is awarded for completing the first Scavenator game on GameSpot.

Irony...

Look at this vid. Talk about Irony, ha?

And also, One of my favorite musics within a game (Halo's theme is one of them). Metal Gear Solid 3's theme (From 5:00, to be exact)

What is YOUR favorite music from a game (PC or console, it doesn't matter), TV series or a movie and post a link if possible.
