pattepikk, you maybe right... But nVidia released the 8800 in November, 2 months before Vista's release. ATI released the HD cards today, 4 months AFTER Vista's release. While nVidia couldn't tweak the 8800 drivers because Vista wasn't out, ATI had 4 months to do internal testing with the drivers. Want proof? nVidia's first drivers for the 8800 were at there beta stages, ATI's out-of-the-box drivers are not. So ATI's cards maybe has been released today, but they has quite some time to test the competition (8800s), drivers (since January!) and specs. nVidia came out as the winner (as expected).
P.S.: nVidia's GeForce 8800 cards use less power then ATI's HD 2900 cards, and how gain more performance? And the 8800 Ultra (Which came out at May 2nd) is faster then the GTX and uses the same amount of power as the GTS (but costs $800+... BUT FOR THAT CARD, WHO CARES?).
Let's see, Images from a 2001 console ,and hence, hardware (Except for the 360 shot, but that game was created for the Xbox, so...), running at 480p compared to Vista, a 2007 software that require pretty high hardware, and hence - newer. 2001 - 2007. And GS is bias? LOL. Now let's compare the original Mario for the NES to Super Paper Mario. I'm sure that it will be bias also, LOL.
Supreme Commander, Command & Conquer 3 - Tiberium Wars, Grand Theft Auto IV (4), S.T.A.K.L.A.R., Half Life 2: Episode Three, Halo Wars, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and much more. what about those games??
hey, i want (and i think i need) to upgrade my computer, i have: 3Ghz CPU (x2) = 4.5Ghz. nVIDIA's GeForce 6200 TurboCache 256MB (i know...). 512MB RAM (using 1 slot from the 4). Intel's D915PGN MotherBoard (Non-ECC Support) DDR Memory Support. PCI-E Format. i want to upgrade almost EVERYTHING on this list, give me suggestions. (for the Graphic Cards: should i buy GeForce 8800?) (i looking more for nVIDIA and/or Intel). NOTE: Half Life 2 is working on my PC with Low-Medium setting and Command & Conquer: Generals and Zero:Hour are also working fine (Highest setting) and Halo (Medium-High setting).
