Well, this is interesting. At first, i thought the same thing as most of the people on this thread, that i would have to fight myself to keep from punching the other guy's lights out. But after talking to my girlfriend about it, turns out she would be disappointed if i didn't make a move. I guess it comes to show: "Diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks" :)

Gantz. Then again, maybe they'll frown on violence and nudity... Maybe Elfen Lied.

Oh wait..

[QUOTE="efrucht"]Allow her the satisfaction of defending herself. If she is devoted to you, she isn't going to run off with this other guy on a whim, so just relax and let her handle it, she's a big girl now. Sajedene

Seriously... what he said.

'Eh.. You can't really blame the guy. I mean, how old are you, Athene? There are somethings that are programmed into us through nature and evolution. Then there are things that we learn from society. Many times things you learn from society are contradictory to what you're naturally programmed to do. After all, before civilization came about, that sense of possessiveness would make you try your damnedest to be her only mate, thus guaranteeing your genetic line. Now we've gone and developed societies that teach us that women aren't our property to protect. It's a hard instinct to override but if you expect her to stay with you, you'd better learn how.

Its called self control.

Not sure if you were trying to agree with me or not, but yes. Self-control is what it's called, it's one of those learned-behavior-things.

[QUOTE="HardQuor"]Rich people somehow think that they're better people in all ways than poor people. Or rather, that poor people are worthless and the scum of society.pianist

Some maybe. But I'd be surprised if they represent a majority. Philanthropy is hardly a unique idea amongst the wealthy. If they really hated the poor and saw them as worthless, you wouldn't have any philanthropy occurring.

'Eh, i'm in a mood tonight. I don't really believe that all of the rich feel that way. But i have to admit, the few that i've known have all been quite narcissistic

So what leads you to believe that "most historians would agree that he existed?"duxup

You mean other than that they do? Nothing at all.

[QUOTE="HardQuor"]to TC: What do you mean "What if?"
[QUOTE="duxup"]

[QUOTE="GamerBoy53"]Like for example how could we be sure that Jesus even existed??? duxup

In general you'll find most historians would agree that he existed, son of god... that's up for debate, but the dude seems to have existed.

Don't most historians acknowledge that there are no historical recordings of any self-proclaimed miracle-worker by the name at all?

Most historians will tell you that absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

So what leads you to believe that "most historians would agree that he existed?"
