Dont you have the option in resistance to limit respawns? In Killzone you could limit respawns to 5 lives or unlimites or 1 life or whatever. I think the option should be in all multiplayer shooters.

Sons of Liberty is the original version of MGS2. Substance is a revised version of MGS2. It allows you to play the whole game as Solid Snake, as opposed to just the first part. It also includes a ton of extra stuff. Bonus missions, minigames, stuff like that.

Snake Eater is the original version of MGS3. Subsistence is a revised version of MGS3. It has an online mode, a user controlled camera (which totally changes the game, but is optional), and also includes versions of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2. Plus some other extras.

 

If you are looking to buy these games I would definitely pick up Substance and Subsistence over the original versions. The problem is that Substance is really, really hard to find, and it will cost a bit of cash.  Subsistence can easily be found though. Plus, I think the servers for Subsistence no longer exist, so you can't play online anymore. Not sure though.

i bought a copy of the greatest hits version of MGS1 last year used but in practically perfect condition the first disc only had those light swirl scratches that u always get but the second disc hadnt even been touched ^_^bFstBrk342
