Yeah, why can't they choose to be left or right handed? It isn't really your OWN character unless you can choose what hand she/he uses. And yeah, its not much of a factor, but its nice

Nah, you need to level up a total of 10 times, BUT, it should be either of those 7 major skills.

Where's the RPG element? Leveling and customizing your eggs? Yoshi lays eggs and throws them, not much to his character. It's an alright idea, but elaborate more, more detail.
