A ps3 with a usb port in the back is also a good idea. With mor users buying psmove having a port on the back to plug in would look alot nicer.

Yea, frankly sony really doesnt have a choice but to lower the price.. that new $199.99 360 will kill them in sales.. they need to do something

why would they want to start losing money on hardware again? the Slim was a very calculated move based on the ability to design it cheaper in the future than the old ps3... Sony has been pretty conservative lately, making more profit-driven decisions, unless they start seeing massive hardware sales drops i don't think they would drop the price unless they get the cost to manufacture below $250

There was a report out i believe 2 months ago showing the average cost to sony for each PS3 is around $235.00 when they put that new chip in the PS3 recently, and they would be making immediate profit on Move and they would make a healthy profit still on the 250 GB models. a $50.00 price drop within a year and 2 months is very reasonable if you ask me

Yep I am sure they want to go back to losing money off of each console again so fast since losing billions of dollars is not a big deal :roll:SilentlyMad
They would still make money.. The last report I believe showed the price to make a PS3 is like $235.00 now, and they are also going to be making an immediate profit on move also and they will be making atleast a $35.00 profit on each 250 GB model sold.. I think its very possible and reasonable honestly

I would say it would be a good move for Sony.

Yes, and very plausible as well. I mean for a 120 GB PS3 to be only $50.00 more than a 360 arcade S with only 4 GB memory and still no blu ray, that $50.00 price drop would work wonders for sony

With a $199.99 360s coming out and with the PS3 not having a price drop in a year and also with Sony now making a profit on each PS3 sold, and with them trying to push into the casual market, its very obvious a $50.00 price drop is on the way. Think about it like this. Sony is releasing a $399.99 move bundle.. they will price the standalone 120 GB at $249.99, the 250 GB at $299.99 and a 250 GB move bundle at $399.99, makes perfect sense to me.

on a serious note.. Amazon is extremely useless when it comes to sales.. want examples? I also remember when Modnation racers and Alan wake where "in the top 5 at amazon!" only to find out when NPD came out that neither game even made the top 10 in sales.. so yea, amazon is a useless tool to use for sales im sorry

I wish the good economic times were back. In other news, the legal job market is still in turmoil from Lathame and company laying off so many people, while on campus interviews are down 44% and many places are on a hiring freeze.Vandalvideo
A new survey just released a few weeks ago show 51% of companies plan to ramp up hiring in the coming months

No it's not. Unemployment is still around 12%-15% (actual unemployment that includes the self employed and contractors) and the stock market is still crap. We are barely even starting to recover, much less good times. :|

Pirate700
no.. the unemployment rate is 9.5% PERIOD.. im getting sick of doomers and gloomers just basically pulling crap out of thin air "but you see, when you divide this number and multiply it by this number and subtract it by this number while adding this number, unemployment is really at...." enough already.. its 9.5% period! 130 million people in the workforce, 14 million out of work which puts unemployment rate at 9.5%. i dont see why people are intent on pulling crap out of thin air to skew numbers to their liking. The unemployment rate could have easily been 12-15%, unemployment rate at 9.5% while not great is only 3% above what is considered "good", corporate earings and consumer sales all say the recover is underway. I dont care how people say they feel, they vote with their wallets on how they REALLY feel. and the fact is they are out buying expensive Apple toys, new cars and spending money on eating out again.
